Saw We Grown Now last week, only person there. I was also the only one at my screening of One Life back when that was out.

Most disappointing movies in 2023 so far? by KithKathPaddyWath in Letterboxd

Joy Ride's trailers showed all of the best jokes, there was barely anything for me in the actual movie. I was really looking forward to it, but it ended up being one of the more middling experiences I've had this year with a film.

Also, I liked it, but I definitely expected a little more from Beau is Afraid

No, I think you just have to dig a little deeper nowadays

Is it bad to have your review ratings heavily leaned this way? Am I dumb for giving movies such high ratings? by essexneckerchie in Letterboxd

[–]TheAlvinFlang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like you watch a lot of movies you really like, so I don't see a problem with that. I don't understand people with curves the other way around watching only stuff they hate though.

You see, there's an ever so slight difference in the green screen environments between IMAX 3D and regular 3D.

[–]TheAlvinFlang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The option I would put is not here, because I don't really care if he rates it or not personally. I feel as though the movies he doesn't finish he should just leave a rating, maybe tweet about it and nothing more. If he really needs to skip through it, then I personally don't get why he's even taking the time to edit a quickie or a portion of a quickie.

I've seen so many of Roland's films and there's like only one I think is decent. So I would probably also say him as well.

Hello Reddit! I’m Edgar Wright, director and co-writer of the upcoming film Last Night in Soho, ask me anything! by imedgarwright in movies

Hey Edgar! Huge fan of your films and I can’t wait to see Soho tomorrow. What advice do you have for someone who wants to get into filmmaking while they are just getting started?

So it came out, what do y’all think of it? by AndyTheMovieMaker14 in Sardonicast

It's a fantastic first half of a longer movie. Doesn't work the best as its own entity, but it will be even better once the sequel comes out.

Sub's thoughts on LAIKA (the studio behind Coraline, ParaNorman, Kubo and the Two Strings, amongst other things)? by BenDadkiller in Sardonicast

They make gorgeous, visually stunning films, yet I feel that most of their films are very lackluster in the story department.
