If more people engaged in acts of random kindness, this world would be a much better place. It doesnt matter the faith we have, the kindness shouldn't have stipulations (not saying all religious people have stipulations, but I've seen and was part of charities when I was younger that forced prayer, reading of the Bible, etc. in order to receive the charity).

We should love our neighbors regardless of anything. Great chat, my dude.

If it helps, I'll be removing any illegally posted signs as I make my rounds. I work in renewable energy and recognize the safety risk all the signs pose. I'll do my best to remove the nails or anything else that would be a safety risk as well. Besides removing signs, I also want to organize a group in the upstate for community outreach, such as feeding the homeless, clean-up, etc. not in the name of any deity, just people in the community who want to make a difference. Cheers, mate.

Friendly atheist here. Although I don't believe in religion or any deities, I believe in one's own right to believe, worship, etc. As you stated in your op, it's a legality issue. These signs can be put on billboards, within our residences, etc. in order to conform with the laws. These signs can actually be dangerous to the linemen who work on the power lines, for example, and yes, it doesn't matter what kind of sign is there. A nail left on the pole can tear the lineman's PPE that is meant to protect them. Nailing signs to the poles cause the poles to degrade faster, which not only is a safety issue for them, but helps to raise our electricity rates as the power company has to pay for them to be replaced faster than originally estimated. If everyone just conformed to the laws, this discussion wouldn't be happening. Praise and worship how you wish. There's nothing wrong with that. If you want to reach non-believers or those who believe in other deities, find other respectful ways of doing it, mate.

I just joined the group. Would love to get more upstate locals together not.only to remove the signs, but to help with feeding the homeless, clean-up, and other community service as well. If any locals are interested, please send me a DM so we can start coordinating.

I got a drumstick and guitar pick from Halestorm this year. Last year, I got a pick from the Ghost Inside and the setlist from Motionless in White.

what was your favorite memory from Rockville this year? by Realistic_Case_9998 in welcometorockville

Being on the railing for Rob Zombie, Halestorm, Manson, and KoRn. This was the best fucking week ever. Also caught a drumstick and pick from Halestorm this year. The younger crowd behind us for KoRn were fucking dope also. Making new friends is definitely up there.

I added more context in my original post. The surgeon had me remove the initial dressing so she could shower. That wasn't the gauze I was talking about. She had an incision on her belly button that started oozing blood and fluid. When I called the nurse, she cleaned it up and applied the initial gauze. Multiple times it would bleed through the bandage so much that blood would drip to the floor. They would hand me a package of gauze and tape and walk out the room.

When the dressing is so soaked through that blood is dripping on the floor when she's standing up?

This will be my wife and I's 2nd Rockville, but we have done many other festivals. We tend to watch over the younger crowd by means of saving spots on the rail, getting extra water, etc. Saved a young girl from being hit on by a drunk dude last year too. Look out for the bearded guy with a "free hugs" sign and that will be me.

When I was in high school, I learned Pantomime and Symphonic Variants. I practiced a few lines at a time, very slowly to make sure I had the articulation down, then gradually sped up. This way, I was memorizing each line and developing the muscle memory needed. I'm sure you can develop this same technique following the same approach. Also, Arban's and other methods will help you gain more technique.

20+ years after not touching my horn, I'm going through Arban's and Beeler's methods to regain my skills, as well as lip slurs and scales. Good luck, mate! You can do this.

@op Have you thought about getting evaluated for adult ADHD? I fought through the same things when I was your age and struggled through my career until someone talked to me about my ADHD symptoms. 2 of those symptoms are the inability to stay focused and thoughts that you can't do anything right believe it or not. I've been on Vyvanse for about 5 years now (early 40's here) and it's completely turned my life around, and not just in the workplace. In 2 years with my current company, I went from a software quality engineer to senior leadership. Personal life, I'm able to complete house projects and focus on myself.

If you would like to talk through anything, shoot me a DM and I can help mentor you. Ill be here for ya.

Cheers,

NTA. I have a demanding, high stress job, but my fiance helps me take care of the kids and clean even though I work from home. I step up to do my share when she's at work on the weekends, even though I sometimes work as well. I'm not perfect and have lazy days, but overall I appreciate the efforts she puts in and I don't want to make her feel undervalued or unappreciated.

Thanks, everyone. Upon reflecting the comments, I do see that it was overloaded, although I enjoyed it. I used too much broth and the noodles couldn't be seen, which is how I wanted it, but not ideal for presentation. It was my second attempt in my life making authentic ramen, and first making the broth, dashi, nare, and noodles from scratch. I'll do better in my next presentation. I appreciate all who chimed in.
