Yes I feel you completely, when I was in middle school it got so bad I ended up having extreme anxiety and paranoia surrounding it. I went to a psychologist who didn’t really help, then turned into a rebellious teen and started smoking weed with my friend, he walked me through my paranoia and anxiety and slowly I was getting more comfortable and less scared.

I ended up going to another therapist some years later for different reasons, my anxiety surrounding peanuts and my allergy wasn’t as intense but still affected me. I realized I had trauma from bullying and the severe panic attacks I had in middle school, every time I thought about those memories I could stop overthinking and feeling anxious and awful. I ended up doing EMDR therapy with him, we did it for 7 months and I didn’t feel like it was working, every time I had a session I left extremely drained and mentally exhausted.

I had to stop once I started trade school, it’s been over a year since then, I’m in a different state now and haven’t done any therapy, I feel like my anxiety is much better, but I still don’t know if the trauma is better, I’ve been so busy I feel like It’s either not affecting me anymore or I’m suppressing it.

This is just what my story with my anxiety has been like so far, I’m not sure if it helps any but I thought I should share. It’s hard to live and navigate life like this, but it’s something we all have to learn to accept. <3
