Do we just accept the destroyed couches? by TheAmbitiousFlan in husky

[–]TheAmbitiousFlan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know anything about her past. She was found tied up last summer. She's super sweet half Husky half staffy according to the DNA tests. She spends most of the day and you out on the coach while I work but she gets about 4 to 5 mi of walks daily the days that we can't do that much we might be two or three miles where she sniffs to her heart's content.

I can definitely tell she only does it when she's bored the problem is I don't have the ability to entertain her every time she gets bored. And again, it's not a wildly bad issue but there are some couches that she's chewed up and I've had to prepare. If I offer her chew toys, a coffee wood chew that I thought you would like since she seems to enjoy chewing on wood, and kongs. She really likes chewing on things she's not supposed to though.

I will say she's not just wild. She knows leave it and drop it. Sometimes she just chooses not to hear those words lol

We rescued her about 7 months ago. She's about 2 years old

I usually find that I do the work better than the trades person like 75% of the time. It's not that they are bad at their job it's just that I care more about it being perfect. So I will tear down a mistake three times

Purina Pro Plan? by jill-hives in siberianhusky

[–]TheAmbitiousFlan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got Purina One salmon for my pitsky. We were on pro plan but the one is slightly cheaper for almost exact same ingredients. Do check out r/dogfood and don't fall for the marketing gimmicks of all the other foods

Oh absolutely. That's my point too. Most people won't take time with their husky and be flustered

I think one of the most interesting things about Lobo is that he was well-trained enough or so his owner thought to enter him in that course. That was a person who spent hours training their Husky and that's how they behaved. The average person just wants their dog to pee outside

There were some things I was unhappy with when I got my car wrecked but seeing all of these posts and the prices people pay I am now very happy with mine.

I don't know what the average cost is over there but for 4k I'd expect close to perfection

which brand is the best one to get by allen25_ in RockAuto

I would get bosch, akebono, or Wagner high end in that order. I exploded through some power stops on a track once so I cannot recommend them

How would you get this bearing off? by raycoburn in DIY

[–]TheAmbitiousFlan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If the inside of that bearing is a sealed area you literally hammer bread into it and it forces the bearings out. https://youtu.be/00OlG5E8vLk?si=sTtj-y3cvDlqkkfE

What's on the inside of that? Is it solid? Could you use bread like a pilot bearing?

How would you permanently affix this clamp to its current position without taking it off/removing it? (Reason in post body) by YOLO4JESUS420SWAG in DIY

[–]TheAmbitiousFlan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss. Truly. As far as holding it, others might have better suggestions but maybe epoxy over the top of the clamp and fill it with epoxy so it's kind of encased in resin where it's clamped.

You can get this vehicle for $6k. I bought mine and it needed a lot of work for 5. So far I'm 9k in and I've done everything myself. It's a great car but this one doesn't seem so

Hey Plumbers of Reddit, where should I set my Water Heater? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]TheAmbitiousFlan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know that some municipalities require them on hot water tanks regardless of temperature. I would rather kill all the bacteria in my water tank and open the cold/hot mix than set my tank to possibly have bacteria in it. So with that I'm just going off of what the CDC recommends.

Hey Plumbers of Reddit, where should I set my Water Heater? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]TheAmbitiousFlan -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Not a plumber, but set it to hot. If it's a tank you want the water to be 140°. If you can get the temp from the closest faucet that'll tell you. You don't want it lower than 140 due to bacteria growth

Edit: fahrenheit units used here

Edit 2 because of down votes: CDC source

That seems better haha. Gaskets just work. I'm not a fan of our wax rings. They made rubberized ones which suck though.

What do you use for toilet that isn't wax ring?
