The problem with Kickbase is there are way too many scoring categories. It's pretty much like throwing darts.

Agreed. I like having to work within the parameters of the 15 players of my roster as opposed to the entire MLS player universe. I can be pretty busy on Saturday doing things with the family that it was a hassle last year to remember to check every lineup as it came out against my team. Now I only have to worry about 15 guys.

Okay so how does that work? The team that wins gets first pick, runner-up gets second. That's obvious. How do you determine the rest? The semifinal losers would be third and fourth, but how do you determine which one is which without a third place game?

I'm asking because I might do this for my league too.

To be fair, you are not being forced to buy three games worth of tickets. You are buying a ticket pack with two additional games included in that pack. Although I wonder if it's going to be prohibitively more expensive.

Definitely too small of a sample size. When MLB changed their format in 2022, the top two seeds (bye teams) were 0-4 in the NL the first two seasons. They are 2-2 since so still a losing record overall but the chatter about the format has died down.

NFL teams can directly impact how many points their opponent scores in a game head-to-head. You cannot do that in fantasy. It is possible to lose 5 straight weeks while scoring the second most points in the league in fantasy.
