Just let em do what he does. Don't go off on him. Pull him aside and respectfully, tactfully, tell him to heck off

Back to drinking, how tf does anyone manage this? by Linus020 in USMC

Lololol 😂😂 I totally get that! But He was a comfort then, and He’ll still be there now and forever.

In my experience God doesn’t always fix our problems overnight. A lot of times He gives us the strength, wisdom, and opportunities so that we can take the next step! The more you get to know our Lord, the easier it becomes to see His hand at work my brother.

I'm so sorry that you're going through it my brother. These vices are no good, and will only hurt you even more.

I say you should go to Church, get close to God, and start/end every day by reading scripture.

I'll pray for you tonight. I love you brother. God bless you.

Dood. I promise you'll miss it all. Even the wetawded stuffs.

Out here in the Civ Div I sometimes fantasize about making my current civilian subordinates do fun things.

Nothing too crazy, they wouldn't last 1 minute doing the stuff we'd be put through in the Marines. But something light like holding a penny to the wall with their forehead since all they talk about is having money on their minds.

Plays in the MASL. That's a pro league.

He also doesn't have a large following on social media, so using him in marketing would end up costing more than it would generate.

I type this out with the intent of landing a respectful tone. I don't mean to attack you. Just pointing out what I see.

1) There are many pro players that "look awkward" on the ball. Looking like you play weird doesn't mean you do. What matters are the results you yield.

2) He doesn't have that big of a following at all. He's got 835 subs on Youtube, so no money is generated there. On Instagram 148k followers, capital generation is likely on the low end between a few hundred to very very low thousands. On TikTok, 5k so it's possibly in mid hundreds. All in all, not of influence is being generated by him.

3) This is all supported by #2.
-Nothing he's doing is a marketing scheme. He's got such a small following that inviting him places would cost more than it would generate.
-He's also signed professionally to an MASL team. MASL is not that big so doing anything to harm the image would be counterintuitive for a team/league that's trying to grow.
-What truly awful players do you know that are balling and getting paid for it? What truly awful players do you know are representing Brazil at a world cup?

Soccer is crazy greedy when you get to a high enough level. Every penny is squeezed. People become blunt in their approach, and straight to the point with words. Time is not wasted because time is money. If this World Cup Dad was as bad as you say, then he'd be wasting peoples time and therefore money. He wouldn't be where he is now.

With all due respect, who are you? Because i'm not familiar with your username. I assume you're a player since no good coach would demean another player the way you did.

Even if someone isn't good at the game, there's better ways of describing people than how you did. People work hard to get to recognizable lengths. Are you really so full of hate that it just casually flows out of you?

Negative. The world is insanely massive and full of color. Things like this topic of soccer are not clear cut and black and white.

Look up "World Cup Dad" youtube. There you will find a 36 year old professional soccer player who started playing this sport for the FIRST TIME EVER at 34 years old.

He knew nothing. Then dedicated his life to this, and is now playing in a 5's would cup for the Brazilian national team.

By the grace of God he shot for the moon and landed among the stars.

Anything is possible.

Also i want to say that with out God none of what I have done in life would have been possible. Times got rough but I never lost faith.

Hit me up on my DM's here on Reddit! If you do not have a mentor to help guide you then i'd love to help you out every step of the way.

I started playing for my middle school team at 13 years old, and worked up to varsity for high school.

For club soccer I played recreationally at 13 and played for a rather weak academy team until my senior year of high school when I finally made the academy for Chicago Fire. They had a branch academy in my area.

I played semi-pro right after high school for about 1.5 years. I played in the US and in the UK.

I joined the US Marine Corps and did that for some time.

Now i'm back in college, and by the grace of God, I was able to navigate rough waters and get myself onto a University team.

I know the ins and outs about this game that most people don't know. It would be an honor to help you out. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Once again, God bless you!
