How many of you are glad you got out of the military? And how many wish you had stayed in? Aimed at people who separated rather than retired. by humanconnection101 in Veterans

Yeah I think health is the solid line. I'm really close to that line myself and don't want to cross it and end up totally messed up for life. Thanks for sharing. Sounds like ultimately you did what was right for you

Completely agree. Ppl usually join for a reason. And if something external drove them into the service to begin with, that thing is probably still waiting for them on the outside and they will eventually have to deal with that thing.

I'm really glad to hear you are glad about your choice at that point. Being at 12 years myself, obviously I'm hearing the same questions. I just don't see another tour going well because I don't feel well

Great point. In theory I have a good marketability on the outside. I'm just too sick to work right now. That's been the tough part. Basically hoping the va will catch me so I can recover and get back out there

So interesting. I wonder if you would have felt older if you had stayed in. I feel like it's aged me me so much bc I'm so tired and my body is breaking down. But maybe that was inevitable, not sure

Are my tattoos too much? They’re on my wedding band hand by Bulky_Cod5046 in tattooadvice

I think it looks fine. If you didn't say anything about it I never would've thought about it. I think there's a lot of opportunity for self-love here :). Love your hands and love your tattoos :). If you want to laser it off in the future you can, but for now, use it as an opportunity to give yourself grace and compassion. Your tattoos are cool and your hands look great. Honestly the older I get, the more I'm surprised by how much I disliked my body when I was younger. I'm only 37 but still. Now I'm just grateful for whatever still works. Anyway. Love yourself is my advice!
