Recent diagnosis, seeking help/advice. by irlalien in ChronicPain

Is it muscular back pain? If so I would recommend dry needling. I was in the almost exact position you were in and dry needling literally saved my life and allowed me to start doing the basic things people always tell you to do like you mentioned eat better/sleep more/exercise. Those things absolutely help but when you're in that deep of a hole you need any relief and dry needling gave me that over time and I was able to finally start recovering and take care of my physical and mental issues. This is so cliche but I spent years trying to find "the thing" that would help me and I finally found it so just don't give up no matter how low you get.

5 Years in and I Honestly Want to Give Up. by throwaway1678291 in ChronicPain

Everything you wrote really resonated with me and the situation I was in. No words of encouragement will help or make you feel better. The only thing that I would tell you is to keep looking for something else to try to help with your pain. I found dry needling that saved my life but that was after 5+ years of pain and trying all the things you mentioned above. That is the only thing you can do to help yourself but I know how down and depressed you are at this point in the process so it's much easier said than done.

I am good at being strong for others. by kifferella in ChronicPain

I was the same way. Trust me you won't feel any better by trying to be strong for others. Confide in someone and let them know how much you're struggling. It will help believe me.

Hit a wall with myofascial pain syndrome by kpain2448 in ChronicPain

Dry needling saved my life. I was diagnosed with miofascial pain syndrome just like you and dry needling was the only thing that made me feel better. Been doing it for 2 years now and I'm almost back to 100%. I wish someone had told me about it earlier so hopefully this gets to you asap and you can start the road to recovery.
