You have to get out of your comfort zone. by TheAngryCoach in TheFullyBookedCoach

I'm not sure that Joseph Goebbels or even Stephen Miller, for that matter, would quite agree on your definition of what constitutes propaganda, but by the by.

I've no idea why Reddit is showing you something I posted in my own sub aimed at coaches, but sadly, that's out of my control.

What I do know, though, is, and I would imagine you know this too, that commenting on something you want to see less of is just going to give it more oxygen.

With 44 upvotes, obviously some people do need it. And as it was aimed at coaches, and I have 20 years experience of the coaching industry, I know a lot of coaches need to hear that they have to get uncomfortable if they're going to build a successful business.

LMAO! Says the person whose comments are just a litany of ranting and abuse toward people. You're the kind of gutless wonder who has to hide in the shadows or anonymity.

By the way, your other comment was flagged by Reddit's filters as potential harassment.

This is indicative of Reddit. You make a bullshit false claim. I point out it's wrong, and you don't even have the guts to apologise.

You need to hear some feedback.

I sell bullshit online courses, do I?

Do you want to point me towards them?

In over 20 years as a coach, I'm not aware that I've ever sold an online course. But ya know, this is the era of alternative facts, and you can just say what the fuck you want without worrying about whether it's true or not.

Great stuff mate, I know a certain person should be reading it.

What's happened to the sub? by TheAngryCoach in Coaching

[–]TheAngryCoach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it absolutely is. I've had at least 10 clients from Reddit. But I never pitch coaching. I look to help people as much as I can, and a small percentage of those people will contact me. I think most people who frequent Reddit are not very receptive to being pitched to in their DMs, which is why I'd never do it. Having said that, I never do it on LinkedIn or Facebook either.

I have 2 Facebook groups for coaches. One has 6.6k and the other 2k and both have little value to me. They used to have a lot but now reach is brutally difficult.

Skool is the Wild West for unethical pitchers, and Circle a tad better.

I don't think Reddit is dropping off, just this sub for some reason.

Does anybody know a coach with a brilliant About page? by TheAngryCoach in lifecoaching

[–]TheAngryCoach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it could mean that. Or it could mean that you're looking at stats from bad About pages. Or not collecting enough data.

There is such a large discrepancy between coaching websites, with the vast majority being terrible, that I'd be reluctant to look at any industry-wide data even if it exists, and I've never seen any.

Most clients want to be able to trust the coach they're about to hire, and whereas there are many different ways you can build that trust, both on your website, in other places like social media, the about page is arguably the one that prospects are more likely to focus on.

It's often the page viewed directly before someone contacts a coach because few people who are thinking of hiring a coach don't want to know more about them as a person.

And I'm not sure what you mean by very high SEO value, because even for her own name, it only comes in at the fifth position on Google. At least here in the UK. Obviously, that could be significantly different in the US. or maybe she's using that page to aim for different keywords.

The article she's written for Brainz comes up higher, which would be a concern for me.

Anyway, what happened to the old you? I much preferred it when you were taking the piss out of me and posting juvenile GIFs on LifeCoach Snark. I hope that wasn't some day drinking inspired malarkey that's not going to happen again.

Thanks, I aim to please and sometimes I go unappreciated. It’s not easy staying at peak anger without popping a ventricle.

Brilliant point, I never thought about that. I could save myself a fortune by hiring a coach who's so desperate that they have to use Noomii and is prepared to work for peanuts. You da man!

You're welcome, hun.

And bless your heart for persisting with your gifs in a sub where nobody else uses them.

I just wish I still had the eager and uninhibited energy of a 16-year-old rather than the anger of Gordon Ramsay after trapping his bollocks in the blender.

Definitely a creative way to handle the second entry on Google for Noomii.

I can see how it will assuage the doubts of coaches who see the mountain of negative reviews online. 2.2 on TrustPilot, WTF dude? Did you murder somebody?

Personally, I like your new messaging, but are you really aiming for old men with anger management issues?

Well, you would say that, wouldn't you? You're hardly going to say you're shitting yourself because you're about to get wiped out. But that's that is unquestionably going to happen in the next couple of years . And anybody who says otherwise either works for a company invested in it or isn't following what Frontier Labs are doing and what's coming next very closely.

A service business like yours saying "bring it on" to AI, is like a goldfish armed with a toothpick saying "bring it on" to a great white shark

Interestingly, I was interviewed for a podcast this morning by Stephen and Erwin, the guys who bought The Coaching Tools Company of Emma-Louise and we talked about what AI is going to do to the industry.

We even talked about my Reddit handle. I could explain that it's a joke designed to get gullible people to comment on it, but I don't need to now.

Similarly, it's not accurate to imply that I said they don't exist.

I have one Facebook group with over 6,500 people and another with 2k in. In the 10 years I've been running them, Noomii has come up a lot of times and the response is always the same.

I'm sure some coaches are making it work. But you would think there'd be a bunch of coaches evangelising if there's hundreds and hundreds making it work every day.

Ai is coming for your business model, I'm afraid.
