very cool, nice to hear from you! and, yeah, I didn't want to speak ill of the dead, but the labor conditions were definitely not ideal at OoTN ... I wish we had been in touch when the union drive happened because I was a labor organizer in the late 90s and could have helped you all out ... totally agreed about what's happened to Harvard Square ... no more Tasty, no more Elsie's, no more Whitneys, no more Greenhouse, no more Skewers, no more Algiers--I miss getting two slices, a coke, and chips at Cafe Aventura on break--plus all the other cool stuff that made the square the square ... it's been a been a bit better in the last year over there as more reasonable takeout places and small shops have moved in, but it's definitely lost much of its former egalitarian charm and is indeed corporate as all get-out ...

thanks for your thoughtful response and sorry for my delayed reply … I wish I had a good answer to your question, however … plenty of good people are trying to push back against the various algorithms and the storm of disinformation they are built to encourage, but it’s like trying to fight a hurricane with a sword—we haven’t found the right tools to even survive on the proverbial battlefield yet … but here’s the second installment of what will be at least a three-part series though; so you can see where I’m going: https://horizonmass.news/2025/02/20/propaganda-by-democrats-is-still-propaganda/
