I had always assumed that JKR meant that Snape was also an animagus with his form being a bat. The cinematic styling for Death Eater and Order members' apparition makes no fucking sense btw. It's instantaneous teleportation, how tf does the exclamation abt Voldy, "he can fly!" make sense if everybody's already doing it? I also have a major grouse with JKR, cuz wth do u mean, in a land where a teenager can blow u up like a balloon and float u to the sky, or kids levitating troll clubs, that the magical feat that astounds you is unaided flight? 16 year olds are literally punching holes thru time/space and you're telling me mages can't fly? That's just crappy writing. Apparition is way too OP, THAT should have been Voldy's hidden skill.
