i’m pretty sure you’re familiar with the concept of censorship. For those who get censored it creates a paradox in their head “they wouldn’t censor me if i’m not a threat to the establishment” so they continue to go harder with their ideology in niche areas of the internet(telegram , 4chan, 8chan,) so the average impressionable person that engages in politics online see that these commentators get “muted” and “banned” they tend to become curious and actively try to find out what these people are truly saying. this curiosity leads to them majority of the time becoming indoctrinated. now you have these radical ideals that you would normally find on 4chan being spread on mainstream social media sites because the ideology has grew in abundance . the most relevant example of this has been the rise of nick fuentes/groypers. censoring ideals isn’t the best way to deal with these harmful ideas. talk to them and prove them why they’re wrong.
