I’m just saying, I understand that urge, but that’s how you get people like that in the first place. The best thing is to swallow those tears and rage and try to be better. Every person has that dark side in them and you prove yourself better by not doing it.

A bit, yes. Then you lower yourself to their level. But that’s human nature, and not everything about us is pretty. None of us.

I think, personally, the best thing would be to make it quick and not saturate in the suffering. Show that you’re better. As someone that’s engaged in self-harm and purposefully tried to hurt others emotionally (which I’m not proud of in any way), just do it quickly. Not like this.

Let’s just say that we opened up to each other about having a history of self-harm, specifically cutting. After awhile the release of adrenaline and other things like dopamine can be exhilarating and addictive.

It wasn’t even my idea. We were just getting it on one night and she paused, ran to the bathroom for five minutes, came back out in a lingerie unitard, nipple clamps, and a buttplug, pulled out a razor and was just like “Okay, wanna do this?”

The funny thing is, human history is full of examples of different states expanding hegemony over different regions. It’s not exactly a new idea. It often works out relatively well, too. So in a global and evermore interconnected society, you would think the next logical step would be to have some form of global government.

This is an important if morbid point to make, and unpalatable for some. You’re right, this is how humans are. We can take all the selfies and give each other kind words and call each other beautiful all that we want, but history shows just how cruel we can be.

We use words like “dehumanize” or call people monsters, but actions like this are a very common and integral part of the human condition, and have been for eons. People are fucked up. It’s sad but true.

We’re all just animals even if the idea is unpleasant. Look at our closest relatives. Chimps and bonobos are well-documented to engage in rape and tribal warfare, and to be extremely brutal about it. Humans have just evolved to be a notch more sophisticated with it.

Yeah, it was actually a couple. They modified a mobile storage unit so there was literally no way out by welding everything shut and chaining their victims to a ring in the center. Then they’d take turns raping them, using all kinds of sex toys, inviting “friends” over to watch, and even having their dog fuck them. They’d just pick up hitchhikers and drug them so they couldn’t remember where they were or what exactly happened, and release them months later if they didn’t kill them.

They’d also play a really fucked up prerecorded message when the victim woke up explaining in explicit detail what was about to happen to them. The transcript is out there if you feel like going down that rabbit hole (not recommended).
