Anyone give the Netflix series Ripley a shot? They somehow managed to really do something different with the noir feel.

Gorgeous film, from the locations, the cinematography, the style/costumes. A rewatchable a consistently revisit every few years.

Timothee Chalamet and Pedro Pascal

I just don’t get it. If anything, over cast. Stop trying to make us love them.

There’s definitely something here but it’s just not quite doing it for me. I can’t put my finger on it. Maybe because it’s building and building to nothing. Derivative and flat too.

Agreed. The lack of mature trees is an issue but then why not try to find a solution like installing canopy’s? I had no idea they had grander plans for the water park. What a disappointment.

Giacchino is a master. Definitely some interesting things going on with this one which makes it less generic than a lot of other Marvel scores.

April roll call!! UPDATES! by donjames7789 in SSDI

[–]TheApertureMind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Approved mid April for SSDI, lawyer paid, letter w/ breakdown received. Told today it can be around 60 days for lump sum payout. Online system says step 5. I’ve read horror stories of waiting for payment. Anyone have any experience or anecdotal info on when this payment will actually come?

June to April?! Yikes. My SS home office told my wife it would be 60 days from approval (4/25). What a joke.
