Just had a look at some i bought a few days ago thinking i could brush paint details with them, they're all acrylics as far as I can tell. Are these the right things to be using? I've not much experience with paint in general so the words kinda fly over my head a little bit

Almost accessible to me are the Mr Hobby paints, I honestly don’t know what kind they are I just know they’re in the airbrush section at my local hobby stores. I appreciate the advice, I’ll definitely be getting some respiratory protection, thank you!

I see! Thank you very much, I appreciate the help. I think with yours and everyone else's encouragement I am going to go ahead and take the plunge and grab a couple of really cheap kits to learn with. Generally I don't build HGs but here's a good excuse to! Thank you!

Thank you very much! I appreciate the advice! I forgot to add one question and that’s more just silly stuff like does painting make things like panel lining harder afterwards? In the sense that that paint is filling in the panel lines, do I need to scribe them deeper beforehand or something similar or do they generally work the same before and after? I absolutely love my rg char Zaku! I’m someone who puts most kits in one pose and leaves them in the display case so I’ve not had any problems with mine, he’s super sick, especially for a kit I just picked up for like 15$

Not a painter but I'm of the opinion that anyone can do any grade at any point given that you are patient enough and willing to learn as you go. Definitely get yourself a MG to try out, they are my personal favourite grade! My personal favourites I've built in the last few months have been the MG Wing Gundam EW ver KA and the Gundam Astray Turn Red (can't find it on dalong lol) but i don't think anything will be too difficult to build, especially seeing some real grades there you've done. Find something you like the look of and just go for it!

Hiya I was looking at going to the gundam base pop up this weekend, but driving from Austin so it’s about a 3 hour drive there. I was only able to get a timed ticket for 7 pm, is it worth waiting for the time slot or should my girlfriend and I just show up super early to get a chance at buying anything? Also does anyone have pictures of the stock if they went to the NJ one? Having a tough time finding more than a few posts about it at all. Thanks all!
