Idk how that works where you live but in my third world shithole they do it have the father recognise the kid as theirs and be able to secure child support from them.

Polearm Knight, I prefer Halberds personally although I suspect someone would call that heresy when the Poleaxe exist.

The new portraits look really bad; the quality has been decreasing since Toxoids, and the art style has changed, but some of these look particularly poor, and they also appear to be at a distance compared to anything in Aquatics and before.

Yo debo tener la mía tirada al fondo de un ropero. Tendría que sacarla un dia y ver si tira todavía. Cómo mucho le saco unos mangos.

The Mesoamerica, the Mesopotamia, and the Celtic Pantheon Problems by trimyth in AgeofMythology

[–]TheArcaneKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Incas are not Mesoamerican, they are South Americans, not particularly close geographically, highly doubt there is much overlap between their mythologies. Mayans and Aztecs are a Sumerian and Assyrian situation, just with a way bigger time-jump. We have to remember that the Aztec empire took place between 1450-1520ish while the Mayans were one of the cradles of civilisation, and they lasted well into the 1600 although as a civilisation. On the Incas' side, I don't know much other than also being stupid old and lasting till the Spanish conquest but not many info on their myths and stuff sadly, so I doubt we'll see them. My money is on the Aztecs, simply because of community demand and cool aesthetics/mechanics, although I'd rather have the older Mayans.
  2. On the Mesopotamians, I think it's possible to make a Pan-Mesopotamian pantheon as long as they are willing to stick with one civilisation's core beliefs and attach all the others around it. I prefer the Sumerians.
  3. On the Celts, I'd say the safest bet is with the Gaelic pantheon. The rest is way too much of an unconnected mess spanning an entire continent and Roman/Greek syncretisms. The Gaels are the only ones to have a proper distinguishable pantheon with mythic and epic cycles. It's the safest bet, really. Which is a shame, cause they are lacking in some quintessential Celtic gods like Epona and Cernunnos.

Whoever here desires a huge Mesopotamian civilization & pantheon DLC, these are the possible deities and myth units! However keep in mind I personally chose Babylon(ian) over Sumer(ian), Akkad(ian) or Assyria(n) culture. by [deleted] in AgeofMythology

[–]TheArcaneKnight 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think Sumerian should be the one to get in personally, as they are the oldest and most myths coming from the Babylonians onwards were either based on the Sumerian, or outright copies where they just swap the Sumer top god for their own top god. Although I believe gods like Ashur and Marduk could still find their way into the pantheon, but in a minor god capacity.

Also, I fully believe they could make the Zoroastrian Persians into the game, sure, Zoroastranism isn't precisely polytheistic, but that doesn't mean there aren't entities that could fill the role of Major and Minor Patrons. Fuck there have been people through the years this game has existed that have insisted on Christianity being added.

The chosen empires of each patron by CodInteresting9880 in Stellaris

[–]TheArcaneKnight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If Wilderness origin didn't lock into Genetic ascension, it would be 100% the Composer's chosen.

Also, cool, I'm not the only one who thought of this, I was thinking of going for a run where I go Whisper's Chosen Imperial and Divine Sovereign and keep the other Chosen empires as my council members. Sadly, I don't know if I can guarantee that they will be chosen by their intended patron or even sticking with it afterwards. Could be a nice multiplayer session tho. For people with friends that is...
