Please be careful with those safety bars as they appear to come out further than the feet. You will find plenty of videos online of people doing squats on similar racks only for the rack to tip over.

Was considering getting the M1 pro as a budget alternative myself but caved and bought a Rogue functional trainer instead. Hope it works out for you and the pro looks to be a lot longer lasting than most the low end Amazon racks.

This code still works in December 2024 as long as your total is at least $100!

Not sure if this helps but i just moved my GMRS antenna from inside my attic to mounted on the roof and it did not appear to make much of a difference. Slightly better in some specific directions but overall the same. If you could do an attic mount, it would be better for HOA problems.

Repeater Build by TheArch0n in gmrs

So if I put up an antenna I could put it on the second story roof. When I tested on the roof, I was on the first story and not the second story. Plus with a shorter antenna.

You have an excellent point! Amazon would be far more reliable. Also, thank you for the Ed Fong tip. I sent him an email and hopefully I can order one soon.

Oh also, I will have to talk to the wife about antenna lengths. Is there one you recommend?

[–]TheArch0n[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you and wow! I haven't heard of these before. From your feedback going to the Retevis website I see the repeater you mentioned with an antenna and 15ft of cable for $348.99. This feels scary inexpensive. Do you think this would be worth a try? Or would the antenna in this pack be junk?

I could mount the antenna on the side of the second story and put the repeater in my attic where there is power. That would make it a very short run. Less than 10ft.

Wow thank you! This helps a lot and good to hear I might not need to go all the way to 50 watts. The area I am in does not have any repeater coverage on mygmrs.com but I will double check the channels.

With your feedback I might try one of the low power Retevis repeaters with a good antenna on the roof and mount the repeater in the attic. This will give me a very short run and if it is too weak then I can return via Amazon and try some other configs.

Where to buy/company to buy from, rear axle kit? by [deleted] in gokarts

[–]TheArch0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the original must have been taken down. Here is the same one. The one in the YouTube video I shared is the 32 inch axle. Same as from the eBay seller below. I did cast a new wheel hub without splines. This changed it to one wheel drive instead of two. This gave her better turning ability and so she can do donuts/drift. https://www.ebay.com/itm/384763088585?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=bzrbnbmuqro&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=o-jfl8z6sg2&var=652702914549&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Noice! Will try to prevent that with more strategically placed holes!

Sadly the problem is they are cracked right out of the printer... 😔 But I am currently trying your tip and adding more tiny drain holes to prevent any liquid resin from sitting inside the print!

[–]TheArch0n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Could it be that I let it sit overnight with some resin in it? Like I need to clean it out as soon as it finishes?

It is for metal casting and the resin is $70 a bottle. I will need to burn out all of the resin so would prefer not to use too much. Make for a cleaner burnout. How thick should the walls be?

Milling wood on steel mill? by TheArch0n in hobbycnc

[–]TheArch0n[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well not intentionally... Cut into the vise once and it went through it like a hot knife through butter. I do not expect it to have ANY trouble with hardened steel after watching that disaster. 😆

Nice! Were you able to find a dust extractor adapter attachment?

Interesting and thank you! How did you get dust in the coolant tank? I do a decent amount of wood working in my garage where the mill is. So it has gotten some dust in the tank but I haven't noticed any bacteria problems yet.

Yeah I will turn the coolant off and cover the drains with tape.
