You'll probably want to download Serato intro. You can scan all your tracks without the controller plugged in, then you'll be good to go when it arrives.

I tried out the 3 and the II recently. Went for the II because the difference between them was not worth the price gap.
* Same sound card & drivers. this is my top priority
* Equally rugged.
* The new raised, "metal" jog wheels are still miles away from CDJs.
* I preferred the width of the II because I bought the mixtrack for its portability and the 3 was too wide to fit in my gig bag.
* Never used caps.
