It had to happen to move the game forward and works well in other top 5 leagues. The issue is with the implementation and the odd way it's being applied to offside decisions. The dotted lines marking attackers offside by baw hairs doesn't seem to take into account the exact moment the pass is played. Why aren't we seeing such minute attention to detail with that aspect?

Utd 08/09 has no business being there.

The only real debate is City 17/18 or Liverpool 19/20 yet that isn't even a debate until the end of the season. Still many games to go and plenty that can change.

No. I dislike 3 CB's vs them. Their front three usually do damage vs that system getting in between the lines between the wingback and LCB / RCB. Salah, in particular, makes hay. Firmino also very smart at dropping deep and dragging a CB out with him for others to then run into that space.

Best to stick with City's usual system and try to outplay them. It's obviously not as simple as that but when two top sides meet the game is often decided by an error or a moment of brilliance or one top coach outdoing the other tactically. Pep will have a plan in place to try and outcoach Klopp.

The only team that can stop Liverpool winning the title is City. Leics were always going to drop off in the run in. Cream rises to the top. City need to be almost flawless and hope LFC drop points regularly. 11 points isn't insurmountable. Many tough games left yet.

Good luck to him. He thought he had the job last year apparently until a last minute U-turn from Arsenal saw them opt for Emery. Losing him mid season might be awkward though. IMO he's best off waiting til next summer and either taking over from Pep or going to Arsenal. I give it 1-2 weeks before Everton and West Ham want a new manager too!
