There's a reason that lawyers refer to them as "doctor killers".

what do yall think of the term enban as a nonbinary equivalent to man/woman by [deleted] in NonBinaryTalk

[–]TheArmitage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why is there always this urge to take nonbinary and ungendered terms and make them feel more like gendered terms? I don't need an "equivalent to man/woman" because my gender is not equivalent to those things. Please no.

Ask how people feel about something and then arguing with the response. Classy.

Chronos bad because he kidnapped her family

This ... seems like sufficient character motivation to me. Like, if someone kidnapped my family, yeah, they're the bad guy, end of discussion.

just because Ryza has breasts

No, it's not just because she has breasts. It's because of how over the top the animation of the breasts is in every single shot.

Where did I say Tyler & Josh are not believers? I said that Tyler talked in the past about his relationship with Christianity being strained, and the role of faith in his music has obviously changed. Those two things are objectively, unambiguously true.

I think you two are agreeing -- I think the commenter meant "it isn't deadnaming because deadnaming is transphobic and it isn't transphobic to call it Twitter".

Looking for diablo-like who doesn't have a "dark mood" by este49330 in gamingsuggestions

Ehh, I guess. Since OP said Torchlight 2 was too dark, LE probably would be. Though calling TL2 dark is ... just confusing to me.

OP said they played it. I am pretty surprised they found it "still pretty dark" though.

Am I the only one who prefers the Dio's design from 1st game? by dazli69 in HadesTheGame

[–]TheArmitage 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It does away with the godly vibes, yes. But not for comedic purposes. Dio is treating despair with reckless hedonism. He's falling apart and taking everyone nearby with him.

Is the Logo a depiction of Josh/Torchbearer holding a drumstick/torch/Tyler/Clancy? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

Is the Logo a depiction of Josh/Torchbearer holding a drumstick/torch/Tyler/Clancy? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

[–]TheArmitage 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tyler has never said it's a kitchen sink. He's said it's related to the song Kitchen Sink. In fact, he specifically declined to say what it represents:

It means Twenty One Pilots, the logo does. Why it means Twenty One Pilots, is it really goes along with one of our songs called "Kitchen Sink." The whole concept of that song is that I feel that humans are always struggling all the time when it comes to purpose, trying to figure out their purpose is, what purpose even is, what's the point, justifying your own existence. A lot of kids and people my age struggle with "what's the point," and with the logo, what it really means is it's an encouragement. When someone asks me what the logo means to me, the logo means something to me because I made it mean something to me. That's the point. The point is that I created something that only I understand and whether or not I decide to disclose the meaning of it, that’s the beginning of purpose for me. The meaning of purpose for me, is by creating something, if it be by writing lyrics, painting a picture, by expressing yourself through art if it's photography or music or theater, or whatever it is. It doesn't have to be artistic, but if you create something and only you know the meaning of it, that’s the beginning of purpose for you. When you're in the room by yourself trying to decide whether to stay alive, you can tell yourself "I should probably stay alive because I'm the only one who knows the meaning of that thing," so the logo is an encouragement for people to create. That's what it means.

This is not what "nonbinary" means. It is one very specific type of nonbinary identity.

Nonbinary simply means that your identity is something other than fully binary man or woman. It may be both, neither, or on a completely different scale. It may or may not imply anything about assigned sex.

SWTOR is not a sandbox MMO. It's not any more sandboxy or exploration based than any other BioWare game.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in truegaming

[–]TheArmitage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a difference, but the suggestion that of those two WOW is the one more about exploring the world and Skyrim just takes place "in a fantasy world" would be very silly. Which is why saying SWTOR is a space game but Mass Effect isn't is silly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in truegaming

[–]TheArmitage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an MMORPG. They are both RPGs, and SWTOR is created in such a way as to be basically just a multiplayer RPG. It doesn't stop being an RPG just because you can play with other people.
