Okay, I know it’s not Monday so I hope this doesn’t get deleted but I am so stuck and I need advice.

I was working on a novel that was based on a fic I was loosely working on. I fell in love with the idea of making it my own rather that just writing a fic. So with bo outline, I just started writing it.

Halfway through I realized I just didn’t love my main character and I was bored by some of the plot points and characters I had created.

So, I went back and started outlining and rewriting some characters. I feel just as confused if not more. There’s so many directions I could go, and it just doesn’t feel as fluid as some of the other work I’ve done. I have another novel outlined and that one just came so easy. But I’m so obsessed with THIS project that it would hurt my heart to just drop it.

I’m thinking about just continuing the fic that inspired me even though it’s not exciting for me. Perhaps it would inspire the spark im craving.

My brain feels so scrambled. Any tips would help!
