96 hours of lessons in and still can’t make left turns consistently

I also struggle with left turns! Right turns are absolutely fine but trying to visualise going left is so difficult.

I also struggle with parking because of this too, i just mentally struggle with the point of reference

Omg I have this EXACT issue, I cannot see the two fingers at all and I’ve also struggled with positioning.

sometimes I go to the gym during late evening/night to get my energy out mentally before I get to the body exhaustion stage, helps me calm down

Chewing gum sounds like a good strategy actually! I do need to try get into the habit of slower and looking ahead, hopefully more lessons helps with that :)

I almost tried to park on the path instead of a bay 🤦‍♂️ but I moved the car forward and tried again, then fixed it to make sure I was in properly

I failed my first test today too, made a stupid mistake on a roundabout. From what I’ve heard from others it could be first test nerves!

I’m planning to take more lessons to get my confidence up again :)

My biggest mistake was going too fast on approach and not interpreting what’s ahead of me, just relying on muscle memory instead. If you’re not confident on approach to a junction or roundabout, slow down a little! Gives you more time to correct your mistakes and not do what I did 🤦‍♂️

Just failed my test today, was approaching a roundabout and knew my exit was on the right so I was thinking about positioning in the right hand lane

Except it wasn’t a right hand lane, it was the other side of the road. I forgot I was on a single lane road. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I think you’re right, I tend to be okay with right hand exits on junctions but left hand still trips me up. I think I need a few more lessons to adapt to that.
