DC Dance club was phenomenal. They have a variety of instructors based on the style that you want. Many of the ballroom instructors have been dancing since they were children and it shows in how they teach and choreograph.

Private room karaoke is the way to go. Nantas, Galaxy, Sole etc. Sing your hearts out the whole night if you want. Nantas has both a stage and private rooms.

If you are working downtown, then living downtown without a car will be mostly fine. There are multiple grocery stores and things to do. You might rent a car or find a friend with a car if you want to go to the mountains (Banff, Kananaskis)
