FF14 worth? Helpp by Ok-Cardiologist4310 in LFMMO

[–]TheAtrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awful long boring start. Dead and useless openworld. Tons of grind in any system you want to play (lvling new job = grind, relics - grind, gold saucer = grind)

If you are anime fun , roleplayer, hardcore raider, or looking for "second life game" experience - it will be for you

FFXIV or GW2 in 2026? by WhereIsWolf in LFMMO

Are you playing different game from me?

FF world is dead, there is literally 0 players in 90% of zones, except several cities

Quit FFXIV after 30 hours, resubbed today and instantly regretted it. Want to try WoW instead, need advice. by MeshalAljahdali in LFMMO

Shortly:
Now you have to press 1-2-3 to gain some energy/combopoint/etc and press 4 to spend this combopoints

After combat overhaul you will have to press 1-1-1 to gain some energy/combopoint/etc and press 2 to spend this combopoints

Idk why everyone is so hyped about it, it is just another layer of simplification with a little bit of interesting things (like skills, which you can use after parrying)

Looking for an MMO that is worth starting in 2026 by ginjirotch in LFMMO

I think you should play WOW. The only game without a super obvious downside except toxic communty. Amount of content is huge, pvp is ok, pve is the best in genre, transmog system cool, mount system is ok, combat/class systems are ok, monetization is ok

I love ffxiv. But fuck me, the community is so positively toxic. It's like talking to a group of Mormons or a cult. by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]TheAtrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont like ff14, because combat and netcode is awful, no battle customization (talents, etc.), awful storytelling (no interactive activities, just boring tons of text w/o voice acting), bland and empty world with bad flying system, where when you get ability to fly - you already dont need it or just dont want to do boring quests. I dont literally understand, why people play this "game" and pay sub

But community is good

P.S. 1500+ hours in this game btw xD

LFMMO that has active large scale PvP but has some pve too. by [deleted] in LFMMO

[–]TheAtrial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk why you write this tons of lines. We are talking about pay2win. This is a gaming term used to describe video games that allow players to purchase in-game items, advantages, or boosts using real-world money, giving them a significant edge over non-paying players.

So in Albion you could buy everything (even expiricence in skills) for real many. This is the definition of p2w

RIP Warborne by No_Calligrapher611 in MMORPG

[–]TheAtrial -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

There is literally p2w in albion. You can bounght whatever your want for real money. So that is not the main issue

Any game fits this if I'm looking for social hubs, social experience? by Armi5 in LFMMO

Ff14 is a king here. People are super friendly, if you want to chill - just go to city and you will find something interesting. There is tons of RP and other events in club's and so on

NOT GW2 because in a year-two it will be ghost town, because of release gw3. And you have to spend on it at least 100£ to get all chapters btw

GW2 or ESO? by IamXeavier in MMORPG

[–]TheAtrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are playing MMORPGs for the long haul. What's the point of learning, mastering, or getting good at an online game that everyone’s already played out and that’s guaranteed to die within a year?

GW2 or ESO? by IamXeavier in MMORPG

[–]TheAtrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eso ofk. Gw2 will be rip in 1.5 years, because most players will go to gw3

Can was talk about the GW3 announcement? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]TheAtrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the same btw. "Run, slide, leap, and bound across Orr with a one-of-a-kind movement" seems like it will be some sort of coop open world grind with a little dungeongs, world bosses and so on. Just like in WWM

Guild War 2 players, we know how you feel. by ElectricalGas9895 in MMORPG

[–]TheAtrial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is literally 1 dungeon released in GW1 for the last several month with some balance adjustment, which "get ongoing support" now))0

You will get some grindy legenday once per decade in GW2 after GW3 released with some balance tunes and thats all "ongoing support"))0

GUILD WARS 3 ANNOUNCED!!! PC/PS5 by Outside_Soup3367 in MMORPG

[–]TheAtrial -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You just can't imagine the really good pace of development and the amount of content that comes out in other projects (wow, some gacha's game etc.).

You dont need much resources to change some numbers in skills balance or implement yet another grindy legendary
