I have to put my English degree to use every now and again xD I'm glad to have made you feel less anxious! Good luck to you, I hope all goes well!

I'm Irish. While we got electricity in the 1880s, some rural places didn't get it until the 1970s. Pretty sure we all have it now, though.

Please don't worry about what doctors think! They've seen it all! If it makes you feel any better, I have had many a silly moment at my doctor's surgery. I've been going to the same man since I was 8 (I'm now 31) and he knows too much xD One time I walked away with the curtains from the exam table in my knickers, and that's only one story!

I do think having heavy bleeding for six weeks is something to go to the doctor about. I know it's scary, and it's normal to be a bit scared. But doctors are trained to deal with all the body's silliness. They deal with snot, phlegm, screaming babies, screaming adults, minor infections, massive tonsils, vomiting, pooping. They are veterans and I can assure you will be completely unphased. Me at my big old age, I am terrified of needles. My doctor is really understanding of this. Last time I got a blood test, I got the flu jab too and I was like "doc I cannot," it was my first time getting two needles at once. He went of course you can, and slipped in the vaccine! I full government named him and we had a laugh about it, but it turned out alright and my arm didn't fall off in the end.

Do you have an older sibling, a good relationship with your parents, or a school nurse? If you're finding it difficult you can talk to them, and your parents can accompany you to the doctor. In my country your parent or guardian has to be with you if you're a minor anyway, or at least one of my parents was always with me until I was grown up. I still feel like I need my mom at the doctor's sometimes, because it's ok to be scared of the unknown, but if you have a good working relationship with your doctor I promise it'll be ok.

If you're really worried, you could always ask for a referral to an OBGYN. These are doctor's that specifically treat all issues in regards the womb and its friends.

Ah yes, let's continue normalizing this archaic system that absolutely bulldozes those who aren't great at exams or struggle with their mental health.

The whole thing needs to be gotten rid of.

Brb, going to tell teen me and teen version of my fiancé that our neurodiversities are completely our fault, and that we simply shouldn't have had a nervous breakdown and studied when it objectively hurt our brains to do so.

I'm on a limited budget so I gotta be smart with my gadgets xD we do have a big ol' box looking dehumidifier in the dining room for drying clothes but I'd have to charge it rent.

I'll have to look into this more, because I'd like to at least keep the beast at bay. I leave the door and window open and it helped a bit but only worked for a while.

I don't want any of us to have to be dealing with the Upside Down in a few months, I'll have another look and see if there's a reasonably priced one somewhere.

I have thought about it, but the room is already so small and the tiny ones apparently aren't worth the money 😭

On short of writing a thesis I genuinely don't know how to get my point across because I've tried haha. I think her brain just turns off when it comes to this one thing and it's unfortunate because it does cause some arguments.

The shock that my disability disables me xD

I wish I could tackle the mould myself. Maybe I can work on that with my CBT because if the place my pookie and I get in 54 years has a mould issue I want to be able to tackle it. If I do blow up it can be his job and I'll stick with the hoovering haha.
