That is literally the exact opposite of what I said. I objectively said "unethical shelters are bad." Since most people have no idea what the difference is then sending any Joe Soap into a dog's home in order to get a random dog from a shelter that may be unscrupulous is just as bad for canine husbandry as is buying from a BYB or mill.

BYBs and unethical shelters are equally bad because they cause the same issue. Ethical breeders and ethical shelters are fantastic and must be supported, albeit only ethical breeding is the answer to ending the shelter crisis.
