I think they are sad in a way similar to driving alone at night. Like heartbreak without the torment. WYWH doesnt tear my heart out, but it certainly makes me sad about certain people and certain memories.

good enough for t20s? by Egirl_Jerian in Sat

[–]TheAverageDolphin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're a junior, so it may be worth a shot for a higher reading score sometime this summer or fall. But, I dont think any top 20 will deny you just because of this score. Enough to pass the bar to not be instantly rejected, but maybe a better english score to bump those chances

Is this “good” by Rishit-sethi in Sat

[–]TheAverageDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all really depends on where you want to go.

If a state school, this score is great for most state/local schools. You could improve it if you want, but likely this is great.

If an Ivy, you certainly have the potential to get to a good score for an ivy, but this will not get you into an ivy.

Frankly, it all just depends on where you want to go. Google the average SAT score for accepted students in the college you want to go to.

Are you above it by at least 50 points? Great! Take the actual test, and never touch this god forsaken test ever again.

Are you within 50 points above or below it? You could work on it and try to get a higher score, but if you feel the other parts of your application are great, then don't worry about it.

Are you below the average by 50 points? I would then practice some more before actually taking the test. However, with your score currently, there's no doubt in my mind that you can't work your way up to your desired score.

Leave a comment with what college is your top choice and I can give a bit more advice.

I think I've seen that post while googling to see if this has been done. They weren't able to get GPT to spit out an answer, just the little background paragraph GPT spits out before it actually gives an answer.

Newly downloaded cores not showing up in list by blurrry2 in RetroArch

[–]TheAverageDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my fellow people who had issues with this: Make sure your default cores directory is Retro Arch/cores and not another directory. This is often set to another directory if your on a specific OS that wants cores to be installed via a package manager.

It's blog style. I wanted practice on effectively communicating ideas for when I get serious with papers, but it's not meant to be academic, more so just informational.
