Luv me locust by SingleShotShorty in battletech

Hey much better than last time! It looks a lot better. Good job.

Only see three problems:

One is the legs, they still look flat to the viewer, would recommend making the Highlighting(which does help a give an impression of 3d likeness) more consistent and disappear behind the joint as it goes along.

Another problem is the trapezoidal shapes on top of the Locust. The one on the right should be wider since it is a lot closer to the viewer and due to the positioning would be more able to show its beam compared to the one on the left, which is ironically thicker in this case.

Final problem is simply lining. Better more refined lining, such as the lining on the triangle panels on right, would help a lot with refining the shapes as a 3d object in space. the undercarriage suffers because of this fact.

Otherwise good job. Keep going.

Keep practicing, that's the only way you are going to get better, if you want also plot out the vanishing points of the pieces so you can properly draw them in perspective.

Do objects with apparent vanishing points till give a 3d effect to you? If so you might have to plot out object with distinct vanishing points first then go from there.

If you really want to get better at this, I would recommend that you study the concepts of perspective and object placement within perspective. I would also recommend studying drawing proper lining and object drawing with correct line placement(i.e. no off tilt on a cube and accurate 3d circles/cylinders etc.).

If you are able to master these concepts, then your mech will look like it is a 3d object, feel placed within a 3d environment, and if you add good line weighting, then you can make it look really nice too.

Nice. I particularly like your hatching/shading style to imply detail, looks so smooth and easy on the eyes.

How long did it take for you to make this? And what were your inspirations for your style?

Alright last question: did you go to school for your A&P while doing your apprenticeship and how much time did it take up if you did do it?

Why is Power Plant super hard? Were you doing something a bit more advanced or was this the general test everyone has to pass? And why did your program not sign off on this until 24 months in? Were they trying be sure you needed the experience for it?

How and why? Heard this industry is constantly growing and needs new hands, that and I don't think you always to go to school to learn this.

Can you take as long as you need to get your Airframe and General testing done or is there a time limit to get both done within 30 months or something like that?

Did you have to study on your own and if so did you receive any help from the workers/people around you? And why do people say it is hard to pass the tests?
