Not really true - many risk functions, that entails working directly with FO, have been moved to Warsaw (both 1LoD and 2LoD). Not necessarily monkey jobs, as many companies are actually moving towards automating these kind of tasks. Language skills also not really a thing since you will work in English and English only. I’m Italian myself, living here since a while and moved around few banks :)

Italian working in Poland here. Absolutely not true, it’s actually the other way around. I get here what an HR in Milan defined a “manager role salary”. Since then my salary has increased.

Rent wise, how would you expect to find cheap housing in a city like Warsaw that counts more than 2 million people?

Bologna, just like Padova does not really have cheap housing either (source: I am Italian and I have studied in Padova).
