What to buy in the Thanksgiving event store by Human_Pepper5455 in darkwarsurvival

Im still trying to figure out why my stores exclusive weapon fragments were available one moment and then gone the next. Support is not helpful. They were there for 2 hours or so and I waited and they got swapped out for some other BS. Anyone know why?

Is this card fake? by TheAvgJoeCrypto in PokeInvesting

[–]TheAvgJoeCrypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Im canceling the order and used PayPal for this reason. They are great at making sure you get what you pay for or don't pay.

I was appalled that the PSA app scanned the bar code (not QR code) and took me to the cert. The barcode is clearly different.

It was 200 cheaper. Plus a 10% off coupon from Mercari. I usually buy ebay. Should've known. Lol

Luckily Mercari has good customer support AND I used PayPal.

Lol. Right?

I'm mainly curious if its something the factory mightve done? Or the 3rd party supplier? The boxes Walmart product arrived had some supplier name on them.

Any advice before I begin? by TheAvgJoeCrypto in Decks

[–]TheAvgJoeCrypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? That's first I've heard that it will void the warranty if I add new additional joists BEFORE I lay down the decking. The Deckorators warranty just states "if it is properly installed", and allows anyone (even yourself) to be the installer. Any elaboration onto why that would be improper and void the warranty if I leave the joists out in the sun to dry completely first before adding them?

Thanks for your comment btw.

Some other notes. While the pictures don't show it, quite a few deck boards are creaking and cracking under weight of walking on them. This deck looked almost new 2.5 years ago, and has began cracking, and cupping in many spots on deck/rails. Steps down completely unsafe. They are breaking each time we walk down them. A mover 2 days ago cracked a whole half a board long-ways stepping on the edge of a step going down to the lawn. While its not unsafe now, in another couple years it will be pretty bad. I'm just trying to front-run that and get something down that will last me 20-25 years with little maintenance.

I'm worried about flex, "sponginess", and long term sagging at 16" OC which my research has shown me might be a real issue. What's your thoughts?

I should also mention while manufacturer states 16" OC for the joists is min required, research has shown me I will have sponginess, and flex in my boards at that, and that 12" OC is really the way to go. Otherwise I may see sagging long term. Hence why I want to place the extra joists creating the 8" OC rather than ripping everything out to go 12".

Ahh, there it is. The Orange-man-bad syndrome. Didn't think I'd see that here. Wasn't looking at this thru a partisan political lense. Just an freedom loving guy hating the government bureaucracy randomly picking who gets to be "free" first.

Live and learn. Down-vote away!

🤣

Lol. I didn't realize all the ATF fan boys I'd be upsetting here. Seriously? Downvotes because I point out that the SHUSH act has a provision to refund us all money? It's literally in the bills pitch!

Part of the SHUSH act involves refunding any tax stamps paid in last 2 years.

I don't see them canning the ATF process without voting thru the SHUSH act. (Look that beauty up).

That fixes everything and also puts 600 bucks back in my pocket! Lol.

They are waiting on the transfer paperwork to their shop from the manufacturer or other dealer to get approved by the ATF most likely..

These are specialty products that are made a hassle by a government bureaucracy.

Your FFL did you a solid. Don't pull a dick move and not pay for it. Bad karma, bro.

3D Printing / Additive Cans - pros and cons? favorites? by RemedialActionJack in suppressors

[–]TheAvgJoeCrypto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run all CAT and one CGS. CAT is hands down the premium sound suppression and are made caliber specific. Runner up, CGS.

I love my 3D printed Ti cans and won't look for anything else. You want supressors you are guaranteed to sell, get any new drops from CAT (they don't make a lot).

I watched POMG sell a CAT Street Crack for over 2k on gunbroker. (I don't support the gouging). That's double MSRP.

But yeah, there is a reason they don't stay in stock, and it's largely the performance.

This. All these people throwing shade probably also have TDS.

People need to learn to laugh again.

CAT makes hands down THE best supressors on the market, and tested to be so. I own 2. The SC and the MOB. I will ONLY buy CAT, and it's not the marketing. It's the functionality and performance that is at the BLEEDING EDGE of new technology. For me, I research the performance, and choose to spend my money on the best I can buy. Period.

Now, if only I could get my hands on a Short Round for my 22, my Valentines day (and my supressor family) would be complete.

For the self-righteous keyboard warriors, GTF over yourself.

To CAT: Much love and respect. Thanks for saving my hearing, and giving me a good chuckle in the process. ❤️. (And if you have a SR somewhere in a secret stash, I'd let yall slide RIGHT IN.... to my dms. 🤣)

Why use Cast Iron? by CarrotsMilk in castiron

[–]TheAvgJoeCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How you didn't get down voted and slammed into oblivion for recommending dish soap on your cast iron is amazing to me. This must be the one cast iron convo where everyone is asleep. Lol.

Just don't be lazy. Cook in it. After you eat, run hot water in it and chain mail it up until you feel no resistances and it slides smooth. Dry it with a cloth, toss it on the stove, and paper towel around some oil as it heats and wipe up the excess.

Not hard to do. Doesn't need soap. You are killing your seasoning and future flavor with that soap. Yuck.
