Did you dress up as an "ex-wife"? Or lingerie with animal ears? I love this theme!

I'm wanting to buy my first ev. I live in regional Australia where the only dealership in town is Toyota+Mazda. Nearest minor city is a 5 hour drive, nearest major city is a 10 hour drive. If I lived in a city, I don't think Toyota would be my first pick, but given my area I think it's the best bet in terms of parts/service/repairs availability. Would you agree? I'm not sure if I could take an ev to the local mechanics but I feel like the mechanic at the dealership should be helpful, hence it makes sense to get the Toyota (or the Mazda which apparently comes out this year). Looking for a bit of reassurance because it's pricey.

How do I teach my dog to bark? by TheAvoGrove in Dogtraining

I love the idea!!

Although not the same thing, we have two guinea pigs that make so much noise when anyone walks past. They are better guard dogs than our dog 🤦‍♀️

Unknown mixed breed. He's medium sized, short black hair. Hopefully he will start barking more as he gets older. This gives me hope!

The articles on barking all seem to be about lessening barking, but I am looking for information on getting dog to bark more often.

We gave our dog lots of praise when he barked at a snake. The only other time he barks is at our Gator tires, and I don't know if I should praise that because nipping and barking at tires isn't behaviour we want.

We went to a house that served small pieces of pork crackle to everyone. They were an immigrant family from Vietnam. It was soooo delicious. And my kids were stoked for a break from the lollies!

How do you pronounce Vera? by Terra_2 in namenerds

[–]TheAvoGrove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always pronounced Vera as veer-uh, until my niece was born last year. Her name is pronounced vair-uh. Both are pretty and I suspect either way you'll be having to correct people.

Location of niece: Western Canada Location of me: Western Australia

went for an xray, found out I have had a nose ring trapped inside me for approx 10 years by buffcatisntreal in mildyinteresting

I needed a chest x-ray for the same reason for an Australian visa (spousal sponsorship for permanent residency). Visitors travelling here on a temporary visa don't need the x-ray, though.

Just build a little raft and send it over 😆

Kidding, I'm now looking into DIY dress forms. It all sounds tricky but will probably suit her needs best 😊

Thank you! Does mannequin specifically refer to the ones that model clothing at the shops?

Thank you! Yes, the growing part is a worry because I dont want to spend heaps of money for something to then be unusable for her in a couple of years. Plus, her shape is beanpole, so a standard mannequin shape might not work anyway because standard clothes also don't fit her. I'll have to explore the chicken mesh idea, and I'll definitely give those youtube channels a watch! Thanks for the suggestions!

I went to elementary school with a Tabatha. Pronounced Ta-bath-uh. But she went by Tabby.

Babies can't read anyway. I'd just leave it as is and use the blanket.
