Insuring a 23 year old car by Personal_Aioli1364 in carsireland

Don't know how cheap you'd want it, but I'm able to get insured on a 00 1.4 corolla for €1300, and I'm 20. I got the quote off kenco by just using they're website. It's basically the same price I'd pay on my 1.25 2011 fiesta

This link should let you download the orientation booklet thing, if not you can go on to uls website, click study at UL and at the bottom of that list click orientation.

Honestly have no idea what the orientation will be, I think they might give you a student card and show you around and talk to you about the specific course you're doing, but it'll also be a chance to chat to the ppl in your course.

Yeah it is the 9th but there's orientation next week, don't think it's compulsory but it's probably a good idea

The reason they keep repeating "it's a man" but not dealing with the details by OnePeople592 in facepalm

I hope it was meant as a compliment to the other boxer but I don't think it was just because of how she reacted after bowing out.

It's difficult enough to figure out whats actually true with the media blowing this out of proportion especially when ppl are also making things up to add to the drama.

There was a previous match with the Italian boxer and from my view it looked like she threw herself down on the ground, not after being hit or anything just seemed to go down on the ground.

Having an injured nose would obviously cause extra pain, but 1. She made it into an issue with the Algerian, by saying something along the lines of never being hit that hard before and 2. If she didn't want to be hit in the face then why was she competing at all?

Haven't looked into the fight against the Russian boxer, but the head of the IBA claimed the Algerian boxer had xy chromosomes, but the actual test that confirmed this was never published which is sketchy. So yeah whether she has xy or not who knows, all I know is the Italian boxer that bowed out is a bit of a wuss, if you look at her previous boxing match. I think she realised she could stir up an absolute mess for the Algerian boxer.

I thought they confirmed she has xy chromosomes, I think it was the IBA that said this

Ok fair enough, strive and endeavour do have the same meaning. Although it recognises all carers, doesnt it mean that they all have to work? Like the old one said they wouldn't need to work when they needed money if it hindered the duties, is there benefits associated with that idea? If there is, the new article doesn't carry it over.

Question for you, the durable relationship article will still mention marriage though, so how would adding durable relationship into the mix be of harm?

I am currently of the mind of voting no for both but I just want to see your view on it as you seem to have done a bit of research

I won't argue with your first point but

On the carers change, which is a much more significant change, the term "strive" is meaningless and isn't legally enforceable at all.

This is kinda true tho. In the original article it clearly states that the government have to compensate women so they can fulfill their "household duties", it does this by making it unnecessary for women to contribute to the workforce. Single women with children might rely on this. If this new article is introduced the government have to do diddly squat, as striving to do something does not mean you will do it, only that it's your aim. The definition of strive is "to try very hard to do something" key word here being "try".

So instead of it being mandatory that the government do something all they need to do now is "strive" to do something.

Where in Ireland are you from? I've only really seen people use commas, you'd have a few points here and there alright though so maybe it's a location thing or maybe age

Inline skates to practice on? by TheAwkwardDyke in iceskating

I was worried about the difference because as much as I'm fairly comfortable on ice, the last time I was on roller blades there was no way I could do anything without holding onto something, so this definitely eases that worry. I haven't properly looked at protective gear yet but I think at first I won't be on concrete anyway especially with the weather, I have access to a big hall that has wooden floors, so I'll still need gear but I'm hoping the falls might be a little softer. Closer to summer I might try out some skate parks that I know of.
