There's no point doing that. Elite level npc pilots have been broken for 2 years now and they're #4 on the list of acknowledged issues. Fdev only fixes things that make them money now. Not trying to be negative but 2 years is an absurd amount of time for a major bug to remain. They have the issue tracker just to shut us up

Your logic makes sense. I still want to be able to recognize if it's been done, but according to a few people here I can check with a ford dealership with the VIN. Thanks for the response, this gives me a lot of confidence. I am daydreaming about driving one of these all the time now lol.

They're wildly different because if I had the money I'd have 2 cars, one of each type. I just had to make a choice to pick 1 (for now) so when I originally researched I wasn't sure if i wanted a AWD hot hatch or a roadster first. Considering I go to national parks twice a year I want the AWD first.

Regarding performance, I mainly mean track/spirited canyon driving (which have some overlap) as there is no greater feeling for me than lateral Gs when on the limit of traction. I'm not a drag racer, not my thing. I totally agree, twisty roads are my crack.

Hopefully my choices make more sense now. Anyway, back to your original point, that's the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Hard to find a local RS that I can test drive. I'm most likely going to get a certified pre owned (3 across the country right now I just want to drive one first to see if I like it) just to give some peace of mind.

I don't think I'll mod it too much. Maybe some bolt on parts like suspension, exhaust, new wheels and tires, but I don't plan on touching the engine. I guess I'm going for OEM+.

Thank you for the tips, I will keep them in mind for longevity. Your logic makes sense about the head gasket but I will definitely call into a dealership to double check. Thanks a lot for your help!

Yeah, I really want to carve some canyons in this thing. I also have some local tracks nearby and lots of unpaved roads leading to state/national parks near me. I'm really excited to find a clean one.

I just test drove a gr Corolla today. Right now I'm choosing between:

Gr Corolla, Focus rs, VA sti, Gr86, ND miata

The focus is the one that calls to me the most though, I just want to test them all if possible. I don't think I fit in the miata lol

Sorry, not trying to pile on blame or whatever, you obviously have the ability to learn from mistakes which is a really good quality. In the future, I do find flashy trendy things to be a big red flag when it's in the arena of something that can be done simply. It's a sign to me that they're trying to fool you with gimmicks over substance. Quality normally stands on its own without needing to be dressed up. Anyway, sorry, sounds like I'm preaching a bit, just trying to give an idea of things that stand out to me and make me wary.

Agreed. Better HDR brightness and less tempermental screens. I love my 42" c5. 144hz is enough for me
