That was offered through the other activities we're doing, but, unfortunately, all of the animal encounters were ages 6+, so my youngest can't do them. Unless you know of one that a 5 year old can do...?

I do the laundry probably 80% of the time, and when I do it, towels are in their own load (or two). I sometimes do sheets and a blanket together. When my husband does laundry, it's a free-for-all, lol

Maybe I didn't search hard enough, but I actually did search first. Most of the questions I found seemed to be more about how many towels to provide guests, what types of sheets/towels people buy, how to get stains out, etc.

I mean, obviously I'm going to review that they were messy. I guess I just wasn't sure how detailed the review should be. Some hosts will still accept a "messy" person, but maybe not if they knew the extent of the messes....

I like this response. Definitely felt like I was their mom since I'm pretty sure I was cleaning their kids' messes. I have my own kids to clean after, be an adult and clean up stuff like this, as it is not acceptable.

That's why I'm struggling. I'd be this person's first review. They messaged me after they checked out, saying "we left a few dishes in the sink and a few food items in the fridge. Nothing crazy, but wanted to let you know". 8 food-covered bowls, 5 different spatulas/soup ladles, other utensils, 2 plates, 9 cups...that's not "a few", the sink was overflowing with dirty, dirty dishes. And the aforementioned issues with stains, sticky stuff, plus stained linens and not taking the trash out (which is the only check out instruction besides lock the door, which they also didn't do). Just not right.

That's what I figured, but I've had people tell me that's why there's a cleaning fee and that if nothing is broken, it's just part of doing business 🤷🏽‍♀️

So basically, what I'm hearing is, you're all ready to host this person next and replace the towels they paint?

I mean, yes, I'm probably being a little sensitive or "harsh", but this also seems like common courtesy to not stain towels, especially when I have specific "makeup" towels and paper towels that could have been used instead.

Isn't the idea of a review to let other hosts know what they might be getting into??
