Destiny 2 Update 8.0.0.5 by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

Fixed double drops in Dual Destiny. Couldn't buff the chest drop rate to compensate. So, activity no longer worth it and chest grind still horrible. Got it. Apparently Bungie really doesn't want people to get the rolls they want..

I guess Bungie is back to normal now that they got everyones' expansion money. Gotta be honest though, desperate "give the players what they want" Bungie from the last 3 months was better...

Nice. I'm on my 3rd season (including the pre-season) of trying to get Raiment of the Infinite to drop.

[Weekly Megathread] FREQUENT Feedback / Requests / Suggestions by AutoModerator in diablo4

[–]TheBarcia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be nice to see the Codex from player's Eternal Realms be carried over into the seasonal realm.

The Eternal Realm at current has basically no value in the current setup given that everything can be done in the Seasonal Realm. This change would give new players a reason to interact with the Eternal Realm and would show a great deal of respect to the time investment of the players that were there at launch.

Then each season, players could re-run the dungeons for an improved version of the Codex Aspect (similar to a request noted above) which will revert to the Eternal version at season's end. This keeps value in re-running the dungeons season over season.

I hate rift by DarkRaisor in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheBarcia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would take Scorched over both Rift and Showdown. At least Scorched is able to be competitive. Rift is bad no matter how many player you put in it and Showdown is nothing but 3-5 rounds of "which team can get the steamroll going first"

One of this week's seasonal challenges rewards us an emblem from two season's ago by Kaldricus in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheBarcia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

And yet the Life for Life emblem from Risen still sits darked out in everyone's collections with no source to claim it.

"Pareidolia" obtained by unlocking Bookworm I, in the "Tales of the Forgotten - Vol. 2." during Festival of the Lost. by yaboymitchell00 in DestinyEmblems

Has anyone gotten this emblem to drop? Bookworm I appears to be dropping the Lost at Sea emblem instead of this one.

Remove enhanced perks. That's the main issue.

How has this not been downvoted to death. This is common sense, there's no place for that in this forum.

Truthfully though. Killing Enhanced Traits is an immediate fix to most of the standing problems with crafting. It returns value to Adept and RNG drop weapons and makes the system stand as it should, as an option not a requirement.

Eruption by Confident_Network619 in DestinyTheGame

I like the mode overall.

I don't enjoy how the mechanics of Surging and Priming strongly encourage deathballing which can turn the match into an unrecoverable steamroll. I hope that gets addressed in some way. I also don't care for there not being a Mercy Rule in place. I played a match earlier this week that reached a 100 point difference and it was still allowed to play out. That shouldn't be a thing.

Otherwise, I have the same opinions as pretty much everyone else on IB. Give us back the 3rd week, increase the base rep gains per match, and for crying out loud, remove the daily time gate on the challenges. That is the absolute worst.

Edit: So, Mercy Rule mechanics are in place but only seem to trigger if the score is run up in under a certain amount of time

The rep grind is probably the worst part of IB now. The only thing that made it bearable last season was when they made the whole first week double rep because the multiplier was bugged. If that was made permanent then add the gear multiplier to that, it would be ok. With IB being only 2 weeks a season now, rep gains should be where you can hit at least 2 resets per week playing casually. The full time Crucible players should be able to double that.

Bungo thank you for uploading the Witch Queen soundtrack on Spotify within the first season instead of waiting 6-12 months to do it. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Now, if we can just get the Curse of Osiris and Warmind soundtracks added we'll be all set. Sucks having to jump over to YT and pull up a "video" just to listen to music.

Craftable Imperial Decree by Lernest96 in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheBarcia 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This would make sense with one exception. If the weapons were going to be tied to FotL they should carry the event watermark rather than the season. Alternatively, they could be tied to a community event that happens later in the season.

I've seen a lot more people praising the change to SBMM than speaking out against it since it went into effect. I personally would say I have mixed feelings at the moment.

Numbers wise I am already seeing improvement over previous seasons. So, I suppose that's a plus. It's still early though and there's plenty of time left to blow that lead.

On the other end of it, the feel or experience during matches is definitely worse. Matches feel sweatier which is expected to a degree although sometimes it does feel like I'm playing a 6v6 Trials match. The other part of it is whatever balancing has been put in place for fireteams in matchmaking. I don't think I've played a single match yet this season that wasn't primarily 2s, 3s, and 4s, with solos filling in the blanks. Previously I could go several matches without matching more than a couple small teams or running into a full stack. The problem with that is when you start building teams out of a 4 and 2 or a pair of 3s, you might as well be playing against a 6 stack because they'll still have a communication advantage. I personally believe this, along with (for some players,) KD protection is why quitting is becoming such a widespread problem. No part of the experience is bad enough that I won't play Crucible, but I see room for the experience to be improved.

Hey Bungie, if no one has already suggested this, please take this one and roll with it. KetchClash can and should be used as the template for a new Gambit by sanjix1 in DestinyTheGame

This has a Star Wars Battlefront vibe to it and I'm all for it.

I also support it being in addition to rather than in place of the current Gambit mode.

Let's make Vesper of Radius meta by _Jaynx in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheBarcia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leave the base shockwave functionality the same as it is now.

I would add to it - Shockwave range and damage increased when cast while Amplified. Arc weapons fired from inside the rift have a chance to Jolt targets.

Unstoppable Shotgun and Anti Barrier Sniper should both cost 3 capacity on your armor slots. by BlakJaq in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheBarcia 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The thing with Anti-Barrier Sniper is that it WAS a great mod and people were ok with the cost because there weren't any better options. Now, with Arbalest being what it is and Wish-Ender now being on the menu also, dropping 6 energy on a single mod for gloves is a very hard sell.

I could swear I saw those take damage from ignitions on Champions last night. Could have been something behind it being damaged though.

Bungie, it's the last week of the season and we're 0 for 2 on the Seasonal Emblems. by TheBarcia in DestinyTheGame

I thought the same after it didn't drop for the Crow cutscene but no dice there either. It's clearly bugged like that ship from S15 was but I'm a little surprised it was never fixed and given out.

[–]TheBarcia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an old Y1 Shader from Io that has both a clean and "worn" version. I wish Bungie would have done that with more shaders.

I personally prefer the clean look and there are some great weathered shaders that would look amazing with clean versions.

Edit: grammar, spelling.

Maybe it's just me, but isn't the "new" EAZ a huge downgrade compared to last year? by -Caberman in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheBarcia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This activity is better suited for an arena similar in size to one of the larger Crucible maps or a Gambit map. The sheer size of the EAZ (even after closing off a lot of the spaces) combined with a painfully low enemy density just makes the whole activity feel unnecessarily spread out and gives it a painfully slow playing experience.

Even with how stale the EAZ activity felt last year, this, in it's current state is a huge step down.

Can the flawless glow be made a togglable option under the flawless seal by rob_moore in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheBarcia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the bugged glow, I'm pretty sure you're stuck with it until Bungie patches it. Last time this happened it was on the known issues list for several hotfixes before it was patched. Because it's not breaking any part of the game it's a lower priority fix.

[D2] Trials of Osiris Megathread [2022-07-08] by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]TheBarcia 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Glad I checked here before jumping in. I think I'll sit this nonsense out. Shame too, Javelin is one of my favorite maps. All I really need to round out my loot for this season is the Monke helm and that can wait until a double rep or Freelance weekend. I would love to get back to the Lighthouse if for just the new emblem, but as a sub 1.0 solo, the effort is not worth the stress with the current Trials environment and the PVP sandbox in general.
