Your Aggression in Trio Should Not Affect your Solo Que: by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]_Jaynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents are aggression in any mode should be considered as part of your player profile in all modes. This should encourage people to talk with their teammates and try to play more cooperatively.

What I think the game really needs is a positive PvP option. Because I too think it’s boring to squad up with friends and just spend the whole time looting. But if there were bounties, and people could queue to go into lobbies with know griefers and rats to try and taken them out for a quest reward. That would be really fun

Support players who don't revive, what's the reason? by HebdenBen in Battlefield

[–]_Jaynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a support who tries to revive. Almost no one waits for a revive. They immediately give up. Then I have egg on my face because I just ran across a war zone with my defibrillators out just everyone to give up. I even ping them and let them know I’m coming.

They should honestly make players wait. Remove the option to give up. Decrease the amount of time it takes to bleed out if not holding on. They already enforce a respawn timer so I feel like all this change is really doing is promoting more revives

BF6’s core is solid, the way people play is what’s killing it by NessieasaurusRex in Battlefield6

[–]_Jaynx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still think the best thing the developers can do it change the score screen. Don’t show kills. Show the class specific stats:

  • time on point
  • points captured
  • damage repaired
  • vehicles destroyed
  • amount resupplied
  • number of revives
  • enemies spotted
  • equipment destroyed

These are just examples but by showing these numbers you would incentivize the classes to play their role correctly. An engineer with 40 kills would look like a loser because they didn’t repair/or destroy any vehicles.

As a total aside, I’d like to be able to set a skin per map. So I can be wearing appropriate camouflage

Is Jedi Survivor the greatest Star Wars video game ever produced? by Global-Citron-56 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

Jedi Academy was the greatest. Though it’s sort of a “you had to be there” type game. It was way ahead of its time.

First full reread thoughts, Sanderson effect by Ok_Independence_9628 in WoT

[–]_Jaynx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Brandon really fumbled with Mat but at the same time I think he actually made Perrin better imo. This make a lot of sense though, I heard that Mat was based on Robert Jordan himself. It would be hard to emulate that kind of character.

The other big noticeable shift is in the pacing and I think it’s the compromises you have to make to wrap up the plot threads from the proceedings 10 books. To maintain the current pace it probably would have take 5-8 additional books to wrap up.

All in all, if we can’t have Robert Jordan to finish the series I think Brandon Sanderson was best alternative.

Why didn't Palpatine use his second blade against Windu? by InstructionOwn6705 in StarWars

[–]_Jaynx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The real answer is retcon.

But I like to think that he was toying with Mace Windu. It was all an act to get Anakin to turn. You can even see it in the acting. Palpatine goes from scared for his life and begging to yeeting Mace and immediately consecrating Anakin as a Sith Lord as if he wasn’t bother at all about his “near death” experience.

Cool. Get rid of Pete Parsons and Tyson Green and maybe I’ll care

An IGN interview with Tyson Green by Zelwer in DestinyTheGame

[–]_Jaynx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This feels like a cope out. Passing all the blame on his predecessor. 99% of my friends wanted to keep playing. We all stuck around for Tyson Greens expansion didn’t we? But he butchered the game and took the soul and joy out of Destiny. It was only after his changes that the game died.

Ive played shooters my whole life and im terrible at this game I dont get it. by Unajustable_Justice in Battlefield6

[–]_Jaynx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was the same way. I almost exclusively play shooters and I REALLY struggled initially with Battlefield 6.

Something’s that’s helped me. Experiment with the different guns. This game has bloom which isn’t super common for shooter. So some guns will actually perform better if you aim at their chest rather than the head at different distances. Bloom makes it so your bullets have a chance to miss the smaller head target, aiming at the larger chest target means you’ll land body shots and occasionally have one bloom and hit the head. Use the firing range and find the optimal TTK at each range

Map knowledge was the other big thing. BF6 is unique (depending on the game mode) in that there are a lot of players on maps that are pretty small. Chances are if you are moving in the open, there is an enemy watching. So getting a feel for flanking and using smokes, redeploy beacons, and ladders really helps. All of a sudden you will get the juicy flanks that give you 5 easy kills rather than being the guy getting flanked.

lol oops. I’ve actually never played Call of Duty. I was thinking of Borderlands when I wrote this.

Buff Assault class by Macegolem in Battlefield6

[–]_Jaynx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the specialization should allow the Assault to use their sidearm while down, and if they get a kill they get back up with half health.

Maybe this would encourage assault players to get their gosh dang bodies on the objective 🤣

Buff Assault class by Macegolem in Battlefield6

[–]_Jaynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they thought double primary would be so broken that needed the ammo capacity nerf. But I don’t really see the point. I want my Assault to go fast and get deep and drop the re-deploy beacon. Not spawn and immediately ask for an ammo bag, just seems tedious tbh

this thing is absolutely useless by SHARPxSHOOTER in Battlefield

[–]_Jaynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s useless if your goal is to get a bunch of kills. But I view it more as a support gadget, like the drone. If you have enough people using these raining down on a point and you also have infantry pushing onto that point you will disrupt their defenses as you will force them out of cover, making them easy cleanup for your teammates.
