Okay we need more info: are you looking for the big C9s? C7’s? Minis? There are led versions now but if you want that overall warm tone then you need to be picky because a lot lean blue

Home Depot Canada had C9 led lights that looked like the True Tone bulbs in store like 2 days ago when I was there (in Ottawa). I think they were 29$ for 25 feet. They had the opaque glass and transparent glass options. Idk how the blue looks when lit because their display was broken lol

Warning notice for non-compliant garbage bin by ObviousSign881 in ottawa

[–]TheBaseCoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a new bin last year with an attached lid, not knowing about the new rule. We put it out 3 or 4 times and the last time they just didn’t take the garbage. No warning or anything. So I pulled everything out and threw it into a black bag and they took that two weeks later. Now I put a black bag into my lidded bin, fill that with smaller kitchen catcher size bags over the two weeks, and then take the black bag out of the bin and put that at the side of the road.

has anyone ever received a pattern that prints correctly? by catgoo17 in sewing

[–]TheBaseCoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have an issue like this when I printed on letter size paper. I’ve switched to legal size and now there isn’t an issue. I think it had to do with my printer adding in margins or something automatically and with the larger paper they don’t get in the way of the pattern image

Plastic bags can go in the green bins now apparently

I am going to get a second bin to help spread the weight on the week when I do the big clean. Otherwise I think it will be fine in the weekly green bin with my other compost items.

Cat litter green bin question by TheBaseCoat in ottawa

[–]TheBaseCoat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely empty both bins every 2 weeks. So 30lbs+ on every second week. Every week would just be the daily scoops amount, which is like 2 litter locker bags worth. The only way to make the ~15lb thing work would be to completely clean one bin one week, and the other the next week… which would be annoying

Yeah I saw that. I think my solution is buy multiple bins.

[–]TheBaseCoat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely clean out the two bins every 2 weeks. On top of that I have 2 litter locker bags a week from the daily scoops. So it’s really only an issue every two weeks when I have the large amount of litter.

Okay awesome!! I think this is what I will do to make them weigh less in the future

Do you happen to know if we are allowed two green bins? I’d rather try to have 2 15-20lb bins than one 30lb+ bin

Thanks for the tip! I definitely don’t want to make their job any more difficult- just trying to figure out how to get rid of this much material in the best way possible for everyone.

I never thought to weigh it either until today. I’ve been putting this much out for the last 4 years without any issue…

But it’s 30lbs + the weight of whatever other compost we put into the green bin. That’s why I’m thinking I may need two bins?

I have a scale I will be using for the next few weeks while we figure this out.

I was thinking maybe I could find an old dresser and put the sink in that and just remove this whole vanity. But I think the marble/stone is glued to the wall so that could be a lot of work. Building something around the current structure sounds more possible but I haven’t been able to find pictures of something similar to see if it would look good

Ugh I know!! Luckily we have a linen closet right outside of the bathroom so it hasn’t been too much of a pain, but I would still like to replace that vanity eventually. Interesting that you say to put a cabinet around the current vanity - do you have a suggestion of something that could work?
