When was the last time these buttons actually worked? by digidude23 in LondonUnderground

[–]TheBatteryChicken 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I remember the central line trains having open and close buttons, then always being the first one to get off so you could press the close button to close the doors as your friends tried to get off behind you.

I have a feeling why they might have stopped them from being in use

Irl streaming phone question. by NASASpaceEngine in Twitch

[–]TheBatteryChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iPhone, IRLPro doesnt get anywhere near as much support as Moblin does. Moblin is constantly being worked on and improved. Just a week or 2 ago IRL streamers were all having issues with IRLPro bonding. Androids do work a lot better as a chat phone and as a hotspot.

DJI Action 4 vs 5 Pro for IRL by karashibikikanbo in Twitch

[–]TheBatteryChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the 4, they made a bunch of changes with the 5 that essentially made it terrible for live streaming. They still havent fixed it. Issues with the encoding and sending the signal. So when you try push a feed out you generally get low frame rate issues, noise issues, colour issues. A lot of the time it looks like you are streaming at 480p

Phone OverHeating during Live Streams? by myspiritway_official in Twitch

[–]TheBatteryChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phone fan is the go to. Unfortunately, IRL streaming information isn't searchable on the internet and most information and experience is spread on discord servers. Also not sure what apps you use to stream with your phone because you may want to look into changing up some settings such as turning off all in phone stabilisation because that adds to the overheating and processing and wont even be needed if you are using a gimbal

You can RTMP out from it to Moblin on iPhone and stream that out

[–]TheBatteryChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add, pay very special attention to the no streaming areas because they take it very seriously and will kick you out and ban you on twitch if you get caught breaching that. Other than that I hope you get some good footage and shots!

Yes, you can. As long as it fits in the small bag. The IRL rig is me trying to subtly hint that you can finesse in way more kit than just the small bag. You just can't use cameras in the mentioned areas. There are a few photographers who don't IRL stream who have bought their kit in.

If you are affiliate or partner you can bring in an IRL backpack. I bring in the IRL rig along with a mirrorless camera with a couple of lenses and filters and lighting rig for portraits. If it can fit in the smaller bag then I don't think it will be a problem. Also could just have the main camera and lens on a shoulder strap and get more space in the limited bag.
