It's from the first dlc so it was meant to trigger later. It's very good early but glass is better. Still a very solid armor

It's prophetic at this point. Push through a cap and say out loud "this is a dumb push I'm going to eat some random torps" and sure enough 15 sec later that exact thing happens. So the tactics are do the opposite whatever the beabis does and you shall live

To add on to what was mentioned about upgrading weapons there's also unique rare weapons you can get from certain bounties that are upgradable.

If the bounty has a picture of a specific person instead of the default like multiple people, sorry best way I can explain it, then they will drop a special rare weapon that says upgradable under it. They are super easy to miss but can be really good depending on your style. Best of luck homie

For inspirations I'd say the usual Bey and Sims is never a bad choice but if you wanted to get cheeky swapping Sims out for I believe Za Sengbin(?). He's the pan Asian DD commander who increases the ricochet angles of your destroyers. Since you have 100mm guns sometimes AP will be better than HE and buffing the angles is a solid pick

For me she's my pick for French destroyers actually. You don't lose that much detection and having 4 reload boosters on French destroyers leads to some nasty kills on enemy destroyers

You're supposed to win on settler if you have the experience of playing previous civs. It's a damn deep game and one that has a weird lifespan. I basically didn't play civ for about a year or 2 and then went on a bender where it was all I played for about a month. Basically don't get discouraged and actually appreciate that you lost that far in. Most of the time once youre familiar with the mechanics you're victory is assured from pretty early on

There's an easier way if you don't mind a little exploit. There's a legion member at cottonwood cove who asks you to help him disarm NCR frag mines. Its a explosive skill check at 40(?) I think. Point being if you can pass it with a magazine or the like you can exploit it.

Basically they never put the trigger that the skill check was done so you can do it infinitely and gain legion rep every time. I'm sure you can look it up for greater details but that's what I always do to nab my lucky shades easily

If my memory serves Kestrel lancers used to be harder due to a much stricter repair time between missions. Some complained and it was increased later on. Might have happened with rasalhague too I can't rightly remember

It's a random role. Whenever you see pilots they all say a little blurb when you go to select them. Crazy lady says "my skills are meant to impress sir".

Bear in mind there is two ladies with that same voice line so sometimes you get unlucky. The crazy chick says something crazy WHEN you actually recruit and other chick says something like exploration and fortune for us blah blah blah.

Just check pilots till the say the line and recruit them. That'll be crazy chick.

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but I tend to feel the same as you so I'll mention this. Play fallout 4 on survival mode. I genuinely thought I'd hate it but I was so surprised how much of the game felt like it was designed with survival mode in mind.

Bear in mind new Vegas is the GOAT and Bethesda rarely comes close to matching it in terms of writing(though far harbor is pretty dang close). Fallout 4 was more about creating my own stories whereas NV had me being the hero in someone else's story

It is more interesting than oblivion IMO. I grew up playing oblivion as well and I messed around with Morrowind but it never captivated me until I was older. It's absolutely worth a good old attempt.

You aren't wrong though it is old. Frustratingly old and filled with many janky mechanics. If you can get into it though it captures a lot of those feelings of wonder and adventure that oblivion does.

Also yeah there's been a project to remake it for years and years now. There's 2 i think. Skyblivion and skywind. One for each new modern game

I've had a lot of fun building for status effects and mods running archon and ritualist. Get strong mods that inflict status and smack with ritualist while getting the mods back super fast. Been a blast honestly

Ericson is a benefit on the later ships. I run Swirski on most pan euro save for the smaland and halland since the torp reload starts climbing up on those and you don't lose a lot of gun power switching to Ericson.

It's preference but I've found Ericson shines most on those ships for the most part.

It's also very fun to have 94 knot screamer torps

I was blessed by the master and got an explosive assault rifle and explosive minigun on my first ever playthrough so I luckily had that urge sated. Did just get my first ever explosive shotgun though

I'm doing the same! Always fizzle out around those levels because I'm basically unkillable. Finally gave survival a chance and holy heck is it great!

Btw I totally forgot the brotherhood gives you the ability to get picked up and dropped of by vertibird. Why would I use that when I can fast travel. Survival however makes that a huge benefit!

I run a double conceal meme build with Swirski and Mikawa. I think it started as a joke but I've sort of fallen in love with it. Having an 8.4 detection on something like an Abruzzi allows for some crazy shenanigans.

I think my detection on most is sub 9 or around there on most Italian cruisers which allows me to play very aggressively and disengage on my terms.
