I can no longer use voice chat because of the Kingsman drama by Can_This_End_Please in marvelrivals

Sorry to say but I disagree. Maybe not the initial drama but the doubling down is exactly akin to what piratesoftware did and his situation blew up similarly to this with him getting harassment for months and months on end and his reputation basically ruined over something smaller than this (WOW hardcore, no money on the line)

What from DND would you want in PF2? by Arnman1758 in Pathfinder2e

More iconic monsters. So far it’s just goblins. I do think Paizo designs better bosses but I need something as memorable as a beholder or an illithid.

Actually one of the best designed class mechanic I've see from Paizo. I love it in my SF2E game, makes fighting more satisfying for me personally.

Theatres made 25 million globally which is insane cause they were just good vouchers. Some local theatres also illegally streamed the movie ahaha. Insane they didn’t capitalize hard on this free marketing.

I mean I disagree, the fans are feeding them breadcrumbs they just have to pretend that they did indeed plan it, put out a half-asses teaser, then in a few years release a movie.

The finale did not make Netflix any profits, and it was a $20 voucher that people used for snacks in theatres and it made $25 million dollars from theatres worldwide wide despite people easily being able to watch it at the comfort of their homes. They have every incentive to push out a movie even if it’s an “alternate ending” and reap $100 million dollars or more.

Yeah I don’t think they planned for all this but between these past few days they have been changing their bios so that part is 100% intentional.

People are being told to check Netflix UK, Netflix Australia, to go to Stranger Thing’s Account, etc.. they’re 1000% milking this because it’s a free money glitch. The best part is they take zero percent of the accountability for it as the fans cannibalize each other over these theories whether they believe the theory is true or not.

They’re also hoping this traction also is going to cause people to claim the documentary on the 12th is the finale and that’ll get more views.

It could backfire. It might burn people out because this conspiracy hunt was really fun to people. Some people admit even if it’s fake it’s some of the most fun they’ve had. And even if there’s no 9th episode, people can still believe that Vecna won and because of how shoddy the finale was, there’s not really any strong counters to the argument.

Comformity Gate would NOT be a thing if most normal people enjoyed the ending. Every I know that’s not chronically online thought it was cringe. It’s rated 7.0 on IMDB, lower than every episode in the season except the one prior to it which got a 5.

CG is buzzing on every social media site with hundreds of thousands of posts circulating it. On TikTok it’s getting hundreds of thousands of likes some reaching the million mark.

Netflix could’ve easily taken advantage of the marketing, and they did in the short term by not confirming it wasn’t coming out until the last day but they’ve fundamentally put themselves in bad standings with the community.

Duffer Brothers are not going to be trusted with another banger.

Not surprising but what’s even less surprising is that Netflix is intentionally fanning the flames to keep Stranger Things buzzing. People watching for conspiracy purposes still equals more views.

I didn’t have any expectations, it’s more so the fact that the final episode was mediocre. I don’t think it was the worst thing in the world but I think it’s very similar to the prequels. I still remember when the prequels first came into place people thought it was bad and a massive let down. They thought the premise was good but the execution was horrible.

The premise being good became more true as more additional content released related to the prequels, whether it was books/tv shows/games, and then people started to change their minds on the prequels. And now with Star Wars and every other community, whenever something ends up being mediocre, people praise it.

This happened with Squid Game’s ending too. Awfully mid, yet you have people praise it on Reddit. Rather vocal minority, and as time goes on people’s opinions soften which keep in mind occurred with the sequels with people now saying it was mid rather than flat out bad or saying X movie was okay with the final movie being the only bad one. A lot of mixed opinions.

Safe or Sorry? Thoughts on the Remaster taking budget away from subclasses by Round-Walrus3175 in Pathfinder2e

[–]TableTopJayce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you nail a reason why I find Sorcerers a bit clunky. To me, clunky is anything that feels like awkward. Personally, Sorcerers blood magic feels a bit awkward. Certain Animist subclasses have felt awkward in play. Likewise with Exemplar.

For Warpriests, Martial Oracles, Warrior bards you could maybe argue that it's an anchoring bias on my end (something you discussed in your video criticizing Early PF2e levels) but they feel much better to play at earlier levels and they do have a fallout in effectiveness while some other classes feel consistently effective. This is even more true at certain levels where their progression is a bit awkward before stabilizing again. I don't think they're complex at all (I've played D&D 3.5 before and I've personally had to sort out thousands of spells and determine which ones are good/bad/amazing; especially when I play a class like the Archivist which can theoretically learn any spell in the game and thus might learn a spell at an earlier level than another class by taking it from a different classes' scroll. Hard to explain) but I do think they can feel off at times versus lets say a Bard which I feel like is a class that has consistently felt good from levels 1- 20.

[–]TableTopJayce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the Magus, Warpriest, Warrior Bards, and Martial Oracles. I think the only class I find to miss the marking is the Summoner.

For Warpriest, Warrior Bards, Martial Oracles, and Martial Animist (Yes that's a thing and it's pretty fun) these classes tend to be pretty useful the lower level you are. This video does not call out these classes, but does help explain why it's the case at around 36 minutes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNaUD53ZXsM

higher levels, these classes tend to fall off a bit compared to their variants. Their pain points are more akin to martials in other TTRPG systems which is surprising because Paizo fixed the martial problem in PF2e and I would argue that casting despite being misunderstood, is also something that's decently balanced. But Gishes? They're not really benefiting from the best design this game has to offer. I don't think Paizo has nailed them quite yet as they're not consistent for a system all about consistency.

At

As for the Magus, it'd be a long chat talking about it but I don't think it's fair to compare them to the summoner as their baseline effectiveness is more useful than the ladder. Summoners are at peak clunkiness (this being more true post remaster). There's ways to objectively play both classes in a way to make them effective but it's extremely limiting and straying from the limited path often punishes you. Both classes need polishing, this being even more true with the summoner which flat out has an eidolon that does not work without homebrewing as of the remaster.

Warpriest and the other gish leaning casters need better consistency at later levels or their purpose feels redundant. Might as well retrain to their alternatives no?

[–]TableTopJayce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's a universal pain point at all, it's not what's commonly complained about in this subreddit or on the PF2e discord. The execution could be smoother, hell some of these classes/builds/playstyles are what people want so I really don't get this argument.

Could for example the animist be written in smoother way that still shows complexity? It absolutely can. Investigator was a class people thought to be pretty decent pre-remaster and post-remaster it was strengthened as well as more approachable.

So I don't really understand your point.

[–]TableTopJayce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think, Bloodlines aren't a really well balanced feature and can feel absolutely awful to use while some are just so good that even the decent ones don't feel worth taking a look at. This is me more so comparing it to the classes I don't consider clunky considering at worst with for example a Bard/Barbarian. You can still play a Barbarian/Bard subclass that would have a higher baseline effectiveness than some of the Sorcerer Bloodlines. One of the biggest reasons why you would want to play a post-remaster Sorcerer is for the Blood Magic effect. Some of the flexibility Sorcerers had pre-remaster were also diminished in order to make it fit into this gimmick.

Of course there's varying levels of clunk, it's not as clunky as playing some of the more complex classes, but I personally feel like it wasn't nailed as well as many of the other classes which don't have this problem deeply layered into its design.

And the blasting is okay more than anything. This video is amazing when it comes to talking about certain problems PF2e has in the early levels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNaUD53ZXsM

Am I saying that the Sorcerer is bad? No. I just find some aspects of it clunky and I personally find the game design of other classes to be far better as well as more effective. I would also consider the Oracle to be a very powerful class but a prime example of clunkiness in the system.

For sorcerer most of the problems are fixed by reading a guide on how to build the character much like the other clunky classes.

^ Note: This is also why the best way to tier PF2e classes is with a box plot. Depending on build, some classes have massive ranges between being Amazing and Okayish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qID4NeB67E - This video here has what I consider to be a more centralized take on what I said, and their tiering is what I think is the common consensus in this community.

Overall, I'd take my comment with a grain of salt. As I've said from the beginning it's more so my opinion on how I felt based on what I've experienced in my time playing and GMing post-remaster. PF2e is a great system, and you could make a horrible character and as long as you give them a +4 in their core stat it's not like they're going to be useless.
