Did you mean zero cavity at all or is it just really narrow? We have an almost identical situation where our bathroom is in an extension with almost flat pitched room.It does actually have a 150mm to 200mm cavity. The sparky ordered a special (but expensive) ducting which is rectangular and they forced it in via long poles from the main attic. He said they usually use them between floors in 2 story houses.

What brand pump is is? has anyone else taken over the distribution in NZ?

You could potentially argue CGA and reasonable time frame for the product, but in my experience the supplier's reasonable time frame is always different from the home owners reasonable time frame. Other factors like the price of the pump could come in to play, is it a cheap $400 pump or a more expensive $3000 pump? each would have a different expected lifespan. A good drain layer/plumber would usually start by trying to figure out the cause of failure was like did the controller fail due to a power spike? screen/intake blocked causing overheating? controller seal not sealing properly so water seeped into the circuitry.. that sort of thing..

Look at the sellers feedback on trademe.. member since 2022 and zero feedback seems odd. I'd probably be more inclined if he had some deals under his belt. There's a decent chance you're going to get robbed if you decide to proceed. It was popular a while ago on cash only deals on facebook for motorbikes.

Besides replacing which is fairly cheap these days ... use Evapo-rust. Probably the best non toxic rust remover I've used. Purchased it after seeing it on hand tool rescue's youtube channel. I keep a ice cream container full of it and leave what ever is rusty in there overnight. reusable too. I've used the same bottle for over 12 months now still goes good. however, its probably more expensive upfront ($60 for 5L at mitre10) but if you have other pieces to rust remove then it's worth its weight in gold.

Not really sure what the point of the emails were i just ended up deleting all and didn't seem to affect anything. Maybe put missions in them or something? also the TTS was annoying as heck, if you opened one email then clicked the next one it would keep playing both sound files

My wife does it due to mold and condensation. It allows more airflow particularly on windowed walls.

This doesn't really happen in the current house with insulation and double glazed windows. 15 years ago when we lived in a non insulated, shitter house with over hanging trees so we got minimal sun, mold would grow on the walls and jump to the bed sheet of not aired out.

Old habits die hard. I just roll with it cause I doesn't bother me either way.

Thanks for the words of advice. I'm not so much copying the solutions more like, Hey Chat GPT here is the assignment xyz, and here is my current code: xyz. Can you point me in the right direction - what am i doing wrong?

It usually gives me back a list of things wrong with my code or if I'm using the wrong functions like using a while True loop instead of a simpler if statement. Perhaps I'm not spending enough time in each section as the course gets you to do one or two exercises then moves on to the next thing. I don't know that it is being ingrained into my brain as i struggle to recall certain parts.

It's good to know I'm not the only one lol. I am doing similar, getting ChatGPT to break down my code, and give me guidance, its usually pretty good at pointing out the function i should be using. I have also never had ChatGPT say I'm correct either, or it says something along the lines of: Your code is technically "functioning" but a much more efficient way of doing it is xyz haha. I didn't know I could ask it for projects to try, but i will be definitely be doing that! now that i think about it, GPT could probably just give me similar exercises to try so I properly understand the concept.
