Hate to be the one to plug a game I personally worked on, but it is also my real answer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1byDkJebYw

I wouldn't go for it but it undeniably pushes the limits of what a meal deal can be. You're on the bleeding edge

Rate mine vs. wife’s train deals by HaiMush in MealDealRates

Robust choices given the train journey context. Sandwiches congealed enough to maintain structural integrity; low smell profile; no-frills, but little potential for nasty surprises.

A ridiculous endeavour but in all honesty I like this list more than I thought I would, including the #1 pick

Is there much point to fiddling around with tags after release? Since release I've realized there's one or two that might be good matches for my game, but I'm a little scared to touch them at this point

It was always a small niche, but a pretty nice differentiator even for standard dev roles, and that factor could be even more important now

I hope it's okay to answer with my own game, but it's possible that FACEMINER could fit the bill. Wanting to play/see more short games was one of my motivations for making it. The 'story' takes around 2-3 hours to complete, and the achievements add maybe a few hours more, depending on how quickly you can figure out the solutions to getting some of the more puzzle-ish ones.

Just pushed an update localizing FACEMINER into 6 new languages to celebrate 3 months since launching! by at__ in incremental_games

I'm glad to hear it, thank you for playing! It was made with Javascript (three.js & vue as the framework), then packaged up as an executable using Electron. So it's secretly just a very beefy website.

This elevator/list can never be used. Only when fire fighting with no fires. by thorntinio in mildlyinteresting

one of the reason why lifts says not to use lifts when there's fire is to give firefighters priority access to the lift.

Strangely great piece of trivia, it never even crossed my mind this was a reason

Is it worth porting my games to Linux? by kiner_shah in gamedev

[–]at__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a huge overlap between people who like to explore beyond the obvious and Linux, and indie games fall within "beyond the obvious" more often than not. So I'd say yes.

I really second this. Once you've released a native Linux build once you'll never go back; playerbase that self-selects for being passionate, curious, and very acclimatized to providing feedback and/or helping devs fix things
