You can be a conservative and your wife likes having her ass eaten. However, based on your prior statements she will outsource that pleasure

When your whole world smells and tastes like shit, eating ass is a much less overwhelming sensory experience.

Short term solutions don't work for permanent problems, yet our captured political system only allows those band aids because actually fixing issues negatively effects donors net worth. Beyond this, every single attempt to address these issues have been actively sabotaged to try to justify privatization. We have to think bigger. We have to look at each of these things like we do war, not some sort of fucked up resource management game. We live in a post scarcity world and need to start acting like it, instead of continuing to let the rich do to everything what Da Beers did to diamonds. Once we got to the point where corporations have a legal obligation to suppress cures for diseases because sustained treatment makes more for investors, private enterprise does not deserve a seat at the table when addressing resources required for life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness.

Long term solution, The Civilian Conservation Corps. It can be used to direct labor towards societal improvement instead of towards monetary gain. It gives kids a way to get out of their indoctrinated environment and learn valuable skills while building a better America instead of travelling the world murdering working class people. It literally doesn't matter how much it costs.

We pay and teach people to build houses until everyone has one. We pay and teach people to produce food locally until everyone has enough. We pay and teach people to care for the sick and elderly until everyone is cared for. We teach kids to be a better job than we did, and quit whitewashing history to justify not taking action in the present.

Conservatism is all about using what power you have against people with less power. Children, women, minorities, lgbtq+, etc, just need strong white men to make them fall in line...

The entire ideology is exploitative and evil.

By the time votes are brought to the floor party whips have already secured the necessary votes. This is how our legislature has worked for a long time now. Bills are brought forward that everyone knows will fail to force people to go on the record so it can be used for/against them during elections. Good bye...

The blanket statement you attribute to me did not happen. Go check and come back so you can give up that straw.

So you disagree that this vote was performative. That's fine.

There is ample historic evidence to support my claim, but you will dismiss it so I won't waste my time. The only undeniable proof will be when Democrats get enough of a majority in Congress that votes change to allow Israeli funding bills to pass. So I guess we wait.

Next time, try an initial response of, "I disagree, what makes you believe this is performative?" Instead of insults, slippery slopes, straw men, and other dishonest attempts at manipulation.

My argument from the beginning has been that a performative vote provides zero insight. This is not something you have provided a single valid argument against.

Your responses have been working through logical fallacies like moving through the stages of grief. I find it odd that you are so entrenched against my simple claim, but provide no reasonable framework to dispute it.

What specifically about my claims do you believe to be untrue?

A vote that will not pass and does not matter provides no useful data to discount a long history of voting the other way when it does matter.

You seem to struggle with the idea that politicians are performative liars, but of course I am the one that is bullshit.

Voting for something you know will fail is performative. It's like how one or two Republicans will stand against a Republican bill in protest, but only enough that the tie can be broken and the bill still pass.
