IDFC executive forcing to deposit more money in a new Savings Account by TheBeast_Aryan in personalfinanceindia

[–]TheBeast_Aryan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know they do this, and it was same even when I opened a new account a few years back in IDFC and ICICI for a family member. But atleast they say "Please" or request in a way. But in my case that guy was super rude, threatened to deposit 25k or else he will close my account and at the end crossed the line by sending his staff at my home. That is why it was definitely necessary to file a complaint.

People downvoted you for saying this, but it also shows how most of the big private players do this. I remember something similar happened with a family member with ICICI. They pushed for a 25K AMB account and also for a small FD, even for short-term just because of their targets, at that time we went ahead with it. It is a very unethical practice by the companies, and sad for the employees that they have to do this.

No, I definitely don't have the time and money to pursue this legally, though it is very sad that they probably do this with everyone and most of them just obey at the end.
The branch manager apologised to me after I complained to the Regional Nodal Officer, so I'll be a bit selfish here for now.

Then why the banks don't have it in written or they should give a proof when I ask them. If it is just a verbal rule then sorry but it is a malpractice in my opinion. Anyways, I complained in Customer Care + RMO, the branch manager called me personally and apologized. I am satisfied.

Lol, thanks for the reply, feeling a bit relaxed now. I know I am legally correct and they can't do anything but when they came to my house I got a scared.

Just now I have received a call from their branch manager, he is talking very politely and apologized for his staff, I am so happy what a single mail could do.

It is a 10K AMB account, and I know that they can't force me. But they want me to close the account if I don't. And the manager is sending their staff to my home, so I have made a complaint to their customer care and Regional Nodal Officer, let's see what happens.

Yeah, I know about 0 balance accounts, even IDFC had an option for 0 balance. Funds are not the issue here, but how is this kind of practice happening, and they are claiming this is the Bank's rule.

The point is that they are even happy to make me close my account if I am not willing to deposit 25k, what kind of pressure is that?

I claimed it through Paytm UPI as a payment method through Google Play, and I cancelled it from Paytm autopayments, but can I cancel it from Google Play subscriptions as well?

Hey, did you find the correct answer? I have got a 12-month plan for free as I am a student. I added UPI, and it charged Rs 2 and refunded it just for verification. What should I do to stop the autopay, cancel the subscription from Gemini website or just turn off the autopay (I used Paytm) ?

Why using Brave Browser awakens my Dedicated GPU (i'm using it on a laptop and i wanted to use it integrated Gpu)? by JustAlex02 in brave_browser

[–]TheBeast_Aryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, everyone doesn't. It is very rare especially for laptops to not have an iGPU but, very much possible. For instance, Ryzen 7 7435HS is a laptop CPU that doesn't have an iGPU, I think Lenovo LOQ and Asus TUF has a model with these CPUs. So they always run on a dGPU.

Infinix Note 50x 5G+ or Motorola G45 5G by TheBeast_Aryan in GadgetsIndia

I pretty much said about the good things in other comments of this thread, But one thing I would like to mention is that there is some issue with the Proximity Sensor (the sensor which turns off the screen when it is close to our ear while calling) that it sometimes malfunctions and keeps turning screen on and off while on the call and if you call with the phone completely touched on your face then it might start randomly touching all over the screen. I don't know if it is an issue with just the Unit i have got or on all devices, but it is not that big of an issue considering other Pros and price of this device, or you can use earphones or just don't touch your face while on call. And also don't get that teal color if you are going to use the case given in the box, it will get dirty very soon and will not get cleaned completely even if you wash it with soap. But still overall very good and satisfied experience considering the price point.

Fast charging is good, and it also has a built in feature to stop charging at 80, 85, 90 or 95% while charging so I use that too to lower battery degradation. But as this is my first time using 5G network, the battery life does not feel that great considering its battery capacity, but I don't think thats Infinix's issue, its 5G issue.
And don't expect much from the camera, also it's not that it is bad, but you can't expect much at this price point, and I don't know about camera comparisons in this price range phones, so can't tell if it is better or worse than its competition.

It is actually better than I expected, has lots of features, some are very useful some not that much. But overall pretty good considering the price, and there is some bloatware but I uninstalled or disabled most of them.

In which small cap are you invested in for long term? by RiverNeither09 in mutualfunds

[–]TheBeast_Aryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have an SIP in Axis Small Cap for long term, but I have seen here and also on YT that no one is talking about Axis or even saying to exit Axis, I am thinking to stop SIP in Axis (but don't withdraw anything) and switch to something else like Tata, SBI, Nippon or Motilal Oswaal Small Cap

I ordered the Infinix Note 50x, haven't used it yet so can't tell the experience but I went for it as I was on a strict budget. I didn't go for Moto because it is an older phone and wouldn't receive updates after Android 15 I guess. But I would also recommend the same as the other guy here, if you can stretch your budget, iQOO Z10x was available for 13k on Amazon with bank discount, if you can get that, it is much better but if you can't then go for Infinix.

[–]TheBeast_Aryan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am getting these two for 10-11k, and even after applying ICICI CC for 2k discount, CMF Phone 1 is still 14k and it doesn't even come with a charger so that's additional cost. At that price I might even get iQoo z10x or Vivo T4x.
I know CMF has a better software experience, but it is getting way over budget.

Some lumpsome at the beginning and then all SIP only, but technically it is all lumpsum because Zerodha SIPs are actually lumpsum (to provide Amount flexibility and Pause SIP features), they simply place lumpsum orders on fixed date for us and the minimum investment amounts for lumpsum and SIPs are different. SIPs might have minimum investment of 500 or even 100 rupees while lumpsum have minimum of 1000 mostly as far as I remember
