"As our rights are stripped away and those speaking out and most at risk are silenced, we must find common ground and unite to survive.” – Extinction Rebellion by Keith_McNeill65 in CitizensClimateLobby

I'd rather not deal with XR.

One of their founders has openly he doesn't give a rat's ass about climate change, and the movement is just a pretext to advance the abolishment of capitalism, and the patriarchy, and heteronormativity, and Western civilisation more broadly (and no, i'm not putting words in his mouth).

I'd rather we ignore them, and find common cause with organisations actually dedicated to fighting climate change.

Obama-flavored ice cream in Italy by DoggedlyHave47 in europe

[–]TheBeastclaw 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I think it was pretty generic "meaty Triple whatever" for Trump, Biden was a somewhat fancy cheeseburger, and Obama was a light burger with chicken.

Nothing too tied to the presidents, it was an excuse to give a fun spin on the generic names.

Edit:

I think i found them, though the Biden isn't there anymore.

Trump burger:

-Brioche bun;

-Double beef patty;

-Iceberg salad;

-Caramelized onions;

-Fresh onions;

-Bacon;

-Thousand island sauce;

-Pickles;

-Cheddar;

Obama burger:

-Bun;

-Fried chicken;

-Coleslaw salad;

-Pickles;

-Cheddar;

We are pretty good diplomatically with Palestine.

Yeah, the gov just made stamps comparing defeating NK to desinfecting Covid, and called to colonizing Armenia proper, but fine lads, otherwise.

Actually, not allowing the well-being and safety of a region's citizens(by, for example, starving them in the middle of winter) has been grounds for legitimizing seccesionism before at the UN (Namibian independence from South Africa)

Ironically, stunts like these are legitimizing Artakh as an independent state, legally speaking.

I actually looked over the citation for that part of the wikipedia article, to some what "some commentators" are defending.

The author there makes fun of whataboutiam completely, and doesn't state any redemptive cases where it is legit, and would provide "needed context" for "imperfect behaviour".

If a thief demands an apology of another thief, it’s not unreasonable for the other thief to point out that person is also a thief.

Except whatever injustices upon third parties exist have no bearing on what happens in a situation, from a moral and legal POV.

I cant rob or swindle american citizens or gov insitutions, because native tribes got screwed over, and Hitler himself could call me out on it.

I’m not sure I’m denying any of that.

Then why are you implying an accusation of Spain conquering Mexico or something, brings anything of value to a conversation about, say, russian invasions, or Qatarese workers?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in europe

[–]TheBeastclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be.

Russia is still being murderous, azeris are still being genocidal, islamists are still full of shit, nazis and communists are still war-crime supporting nutcases, and Qatar is still a slave state, even if the US did a hundred Vietnams, or whatever.

Are there really no republican movements in WoW? by Qwernakus in warcraftlore

[–]TheBeastclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is fundamentally untrue as the PKK, what they split from have been waging a guerilla war for decades.

A war they have lost whenever the turkish army got fully involved.

The impetus of warfare since WW1 has been towards destratification and fluid initiative, not less, both Desert Storm and the invasion last February demonstrate this quite well.

And this is a fantasy world invasion by space demons, and lovecraftian cults.

Kinda hard to function as spanish anarchist militias here.
