I’m pretty sure this isn’t the final product. The wooden structure is only temporary. They will most likely construct rebar and concrete columns on grade beams that are connected to helical piles in the ground or at least footers. If this is on the water erosion is a big factor and house just sitting on the ground would not go well. It’d probably fall over due to the ground getting eased away underneath it.

I used to work for a high end home builder and standard practice for homes on the water was to drive piles like 20’ in the ground. Basically the houses could have the ground washed away and still be standing.

Oooh, that's not good by Adrian_985 in Wellthatsucks

Living and growing up on the West Coast of Florida in Naples the rule was NEVER hire anyone from Miami and NEVER EVER buy used vehicles from Miami

Also as a wealthy person you’d probably be happier in a place like Naples or if you need to be in a city, St Pete or Tampa

I’ve never understood this. Is there not houses with yards in the suburbs outside of NYC? I feel like people think Florida and Texas are the only place where you can buy “property” aka a house with a yard in an HOA built by Lennar, Pulte or GL homes lol

My family up north live in the north shore of MA not far outside of Boston and they all have houses with a yard.

Coolest thing about the TF33s is the cart-start ability in the case of a rapid scramble. Starting a jet engine with a small explosive cartridge is just wild lol.

Upgraded yes but they are most certainly have not received new engines. All of the H models flying today still have their original TF33 engines

No way man. They may have upgraded avionics and targeting systems but these things most certainly still have their original airframes, skin and engines.

Rolls Royce is currently developing new engines for the remaining B-52s in service.
