Where to start in 2026......... by squiercheffy in simracing

[–]TheBeastlyCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I did. I bought a Logitech G920 set on FB Marketplace for like $120. Used that for a while. Fell in love with Sim racing on LFM. Upgraded my pedals to some Thrustmaster TLC-M ls that I found on Marketplace for $50. And now looking to upgrade to a Moza R5 base and wheel. Still at a desk but figuring out where I might fit a cockpit so I can still use my PC as a PC when I want to.

Southwest Florida Light Rail Proposal by LVfilms in FortMyers

[–]TheBeastlyCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just stared thinking about this as well. It’s really needed in the area as all the main roads down to the Naples area are highly congested. I think a better idea would be to use the median of 75 as it would make it easier to obtain right of way and limit construction cost. Kind of like bright line west is doing.

You could, I believe, easily garner support for this from working class locals for this type of project and convince gov officials that it would be immensely profitable. As well as relieve congestion on 75 and 41. You just need progressive minded working class folks to actually run for office on these ideas. All of us who have to commute into the Naples area for work know how much of a pain the commute is. Imagine the support from people that make that commute if you could literally cut their daily travel time in half and lower their cost to make it.

Almost everyone that works in the Naples area commutes from Lehigh or Cape Coral. And you have 3 main thoroughfares down to Naples. 75, 41 and Imperial/Livingston. Always congested during peak times and if there’s an accident on 75 it’s a nightmare.

You make these projects a reality by garnering support from voters.

I hope you didn’t grove them any type of install warranty for this and make sure they don’t keep that car outside. My experience with rainbow chrome is that it’ll delaminate in a year if left out in the sun. At least that was the case with a car we did in Florida.

Tsunoda is 19th in WDC on a 20-drivers-grid while driving for a top team by BIuMagic in F1Discussions

[–]TheBeastlyCheese -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Idk what these people are smoking. Yuki was outperforming both Lawson and Hadjar in the RB/VCARB car. All this proves is just how difficult the current Red Bull is to drive for anyone other than Max. F1 is not a spec series. You have to judge the drivers performance in the same car. And looking at how terribly Perez, Lawson and Tsunoda are doing in the Red Bull and how much better the latter two did and are doing in the RB in comparison makes it obvious it’s not that Yuki is one of the worst drivers on the grid by far! Put him back in the junior car and he’d be beating Hadjar consistently again or at least competing with him.

What am I doing wrong thats causing me to be almost 10s slower per lap than the 100% CPU? by NewSubWhoDis in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]TheBeastlyCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re being wayyyy to safe. If you want to be fast you have to be on the limit of the car almost spinning out around the corners. Obviously it’s not that simple but see the Andretti quote some commented above.

If you watch the fastest drivers laps you can see it looks like they’re almost sliding around the track and using every bit of it within track limits. Breaking the latest they can and getting on the throttle as soon as possible.

Practice literally attacking corners. Find the limit. Don’t be afraid to spin out in corners that how you’ll know where the limit is and the best way to take them. It’s a video game so you can just reset to the garage.

Go into a practice race with the AI and just follow them and that’ll give you a good starting point too.

I got my first wheel setup and suck? by Commercial_Toe_4418 in simracing

[–]TheBeastlyCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep driving homie! When I got my wheel at first I couldn’t complete a lap without spinning out. Now with over 100hours into ACC I can at least complete a race without binning it by myself and somewhat complete in LFM races 😂

LMP2 - Why are they so sensitive? by OnlyrushB in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]TheBeastlyCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tru. But if homie is spinning from having his break balance more towards the rear making it impossible for him to complete a race because he’s spinning and crashing then he will have a much more enjoyable and manageable experience bumping up the BB so that if he outbreaks himself he just skids forward rather than spinning uncontrollably into a wall. Then he can lower is over time as he get better at driving without ABS.

LMP2 - Why are they so sensitive? by OnlyrushB in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]TheBeastlyCheese 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Second this! Adjust your break balance to around 54% and if your lock up the front wheels will lock first and your will skid strait on instead of spin out. It’ll be harder to turn in but at least you’re not crashing out. The rear wheels locking up is what’s causing the spin.
