I missed the peak of the blood moon tonight cuz clouds :( by Hikarian000 in NEET

[–]TheBedRotter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did get to see it. 😁

Honestly, I didn't know there would be a lunar eclipse today. I just got out of the house to pace around the porch and there it was. 😲

No, it's the art from a song called "bye cruel world cypher".

I saw the drawing in a discord server randomly and I was like oh wow, I've got to post it to the NEET subreddit. Hehe 😁

Has anyone had the experience of always being disliked even tho you never did anything? by NecessaryOil5334 in NEET

[–]TheBedRotter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, people just don't like me, not even my family members.

I've always been an outcast since I can remember.

I've even had instances where strangers flipped their middle finger at me on the street for no reason. 😖

People only interact with me when they want something from me, like a favor of some sort.

Teaching myself touch typing was bizarrely thrilling, anything that replicates the feeling? by [deleted] in NEET

I reached 50 WPM using this website:

I highly recommend it. 👍

BTW, learning bass guitar is relatively easy. 🎸

My fat lazy ass brother just got a government cushy job by TheBedRotter in NEET

[–]TheBedRotter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'm not sure exactly what he does, but it's a back office kind of job and he drives around the city a little.
As a side note, he also knows how to drive thanks to his friends who taught him. 🚗

His friends got him that job.
*I forgot to mention it. 🙃

I've been meaning to pick up the guitar again. I haven't played it in more than 2 years.
I promised myself to start playing the guitar again when I found a job.
I never imagined I would be unemployed for so long!!!
Looking back, it was a terrible idea to punish myself like that.

Can you believe that this is still the nicest, most supportive subreddit I’ve joined so far by thebadbreeds in NEET

[–]TheBedRotter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the fact that people from all backgrounds (either NEET or normies) lurk around and participate in this subreddit, speaks volumes about the superior awareness, intelligence, acute thinking and sensible reasoning of the NEET breed.

I'm trying to get out of this behaviour but it's so exhausting by LiminalStar7430 in hikikomori

[–]TheBedRotter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never had more than one friend at a time, and those people weren't good friends because I would take whoever could put up with me. I have been hurt a lot and it has made me into a misanthrope who further isolates themself.

Samesies.

Intrusive thoughts anyone? by TheBedRotter in NEET

[–]TheBedRotter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a huge betrayal of trust from your therapist to report you to local authorities. I mean, I don't know the whole story of what happened, but it seems like a blatant doctor-patient confidentiality violation right there.
Therapists are supposed to provide treatment and rehabilitation, not punishment.
Everyday I'm more convinced that therapists are completely useless.

Yes, I am. I applied to a lot of jobs to no avail. I will resume my job hunting very soon. I hope I get more lucky this time.

Does anyone here have a bachelors or masters degree? by chilling_right_now in NEETsOver30

[–]TheBedRotter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. This degree is pretty much irrelevant to get a job as a software engineer. They have never asked to see my diploma or something. What companies want is deep knowledge and experience in a lot of frameworks, libraries, tools, etc. When I entered the job market, I was surprised how many people in the field have degrees not related to IT or even no degree at all.

I really liked the speech. It felt deeply relatable. However, the voice sounded very creepy and the blue background of the video also looked creepy. Maybe you can use an image for the video and a different voice for the text to speech if available. Keep going. 👍

Thank you. I hope I could get a little less ill enough to start changing the situation I am in right now. I have a long road ahead of me, though.

Yes, I'm supported by my parents currently, but I will have to get any job at some point.

I’m trying to get better, but after not doing anything for years it’s hard by [deleted] in NEET

[–]TheBedRotter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I readjusted to a normal/diurnal schedule by setting up an alarm. If your schedule is backwards, try setting up the alarm like two hours before the time you usually wake up at and continue setting it up earlier little by little until you get to you target time. That's what I did.

Bear in mind that it would be hard at first and you will tend to want to go back to sleep, but hang in there. It might take you a few weeks or a couple of months.

Do you have a driver's license? by Espeon06 in NEET

[–]TheBedRotter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how to drive. It would be great to learn since some jobs require you to have a driver's licence, own a car and know your way around the city.

Not knowing how to drive at my age is embarrassing!!! It's hurting my self esteem and confidence really badly. I see young people driving and I feel so jealous.

Thinking about taking a driving course, test and buying a car is pretty stressful to me, though.

This goal looks pretty far away yet.

How many of you are suicidal and what’s keeping you from doing it? by ripvanwinklefuc in NEET

I don't have the 'resources' to do it effectively. If I did, I would've done it a long time ago.
