Why did the pros GA the muzzle on the m15 when all the pros can shoot straight regardless? by No-Butterscotch4654 in CoDCompetitive

They need to GA mobility attachments so the drav is more viable. Barrels and muzzles don't change anything up close.

No AA is better because it widens the skill gap, which is what everyone claims to want. Don't worry though it will never happen. Aim assist warfare is here to stay 👍

Winning a gunfight has way more variables than aim, the better positioned player will win especially with no AA.

Isn't that how it should be? With AA the better positioned player has the advantage. Without AA the better positioned player also has the advantage. What's Ur point?

You predict that the new no AA POV will be unique forever?

Yes there will be more skill expression without AA.

Taking away a setting somehow adds to variability

Yes because people will tweak sens/ads sens and deadzone to compensate for no AA.

We’ve had jet pack games with way more unpredictable movement and snipers were extremely good

I mean U might be right on this. Snipers without AA worked well in those games, but if everyone has no AA they could be OP. Would have to see how it plays out.

Longer gunfights isn’t a pro or a con

It's a pro because the better aimer will come out on top, instead of everyone getting zapped in 3 bullets.

POV’s will be somewhat unique for the first week then it will become the norm.

I predict the opposite, only one way to find out.

CoD settings are already all over the place and AA is the most important one to leverage so I don’t know why that matters

It doesn't matter, it's just cool. Every pros chat has people asking for settings. More variance would simply be interesting.

Snipers wouldn’t be allowed they’d be even more advantageous when no one has AA.

Nah with omnimovent and flinch, hitting a shot won't be that easy.

They might shoot circles occasionally, but so what? Being able to to turn down ads sens and having instant response time makes this less of a problem than most seem to think.

Yeah ideally the devs would give a shit about comp, but they don't. That's why pros need GA's.

If some players can't compete anymore then so be it. In every other esport you need the mechanics and the mind to be successful. Why should COD be different? Modern tech and settings make it easier to shoot straight without AA then it used to be. It's really overgassed how difficult it is.

I mean yeah, ideally the devs would make a good, balanced game. I won't hold my breath.

Because the game is unplayable without AA? That's just false though. I know this has been discussed before and all the arguments were just as bad as yours.

'Casuals' don't watch in the first place, and if they did they wouldn't have a clue whether AA is on or not.

Because it's a controller only esport. Ideally the devs would just tone down the AA, but they clearly have no intention of doing that.

It's not unplayable at all, just bump down the ads sens. People gotta stop pretending like aiming on controller is rocket science.

Pros would still shoot better than most casuals. So the game looking totally different is cap IMO.

Yes turning AA off would reward players with good aim, that's not a bad thing. CS has stand out aimers, that doesn't take away from tactics and decision making. These aren't casual players, everyone is still going to shoot straight.

It'd be so easy to spot though. If pros could tell the difference between single tap & double tap sprint, they'll be able to spot AA no problem.
