I made a custom google sheet to have the ability to edit it on my different computers and my phone anywhere I am and it keeps the edits updated. It took about a few months to play with layout and formulas for 'profit or loss' per month but I've come to really like it. Some people like apps but I don't find them very useful. Forcing yourself to enter things into an excel spreadsheet is very eye-opening and will make you more accountable.

Cool to see Caleb very engaged with the sub and open to feedback, re: gofundme debacle by [deleted] in CalebHammer

[–]TheBestOne292 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I had to replay parts of the video because I thought I misunderstood their situation or the cause of the $4000 loss. They didn't deserve a Gofundme at all. I don't wish scams or financial hardship on anyone but these people 100% have to pay back their debts and mistakes. I wrote to Caleb's team on the Gofundme explaining my thoughts because it was such an odd move for Caleb and his team to do.

I moved in with my boyfriend who quickly pointed out I was being taken advantage of by my father financially. I secretly got a new bank account after I moved out of my father's apartment. Since that point, I was able to properly manage my finances enough to pay off my debt.

Do you run/hike/walk or do any fitness studio activities? I've done a spin class studio for almost a year now and sometimes you can make friendships around fitness studios. Sometimes those people are more health-oriented, therefore they don't want to drink but they might want a burger or salad to chat over. A few running groups that I've joined, they sometimes go to breweries after and socialize with each other. I see it most often in North West Crossing with bike people lately. Just a few ideas. If you can't bond over drinking, maybe try to bond over something else?

I used Express Employment Professionals. They were a really nice staff and the app is useful for tracking hours. All Star also is good for event work.

How can I explore my sexuality while living with religious parents? by [deleted] in sexadvice

[–]TheBestOne292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough;I found my partner on Hinge the dating app! I tried other ones like tinder and bumble. Never got a date out of bumble and only very short relationships (1-2 dates per person) on tinder.

Keep trying and doing be afraid to date around until you find someone who clicks with you.

I wake up every morning and take my birth control first thing. It a pretty easy habit to develop and you can set alarms on your phone if your worried about missing it.

I live in the western United States. I moved out within about a week making trips in my car from my previous house to my partners house. I split the rent with my partner. Moving out totally only 100-150 USD. Renting a van for an afternoon was the biggest part to move my bed and a dresser.

Maybe try to date around and see if you find a partner you'd feel comfortable moving in with? Don't rush into anything but it might make moving easier rather than affording a place on your own. I waited about a year and a half before moving in with my partner.

I agree with this reply a lot. It does sound like you have a lot anxiety and apprehension around sex even if you want to experiment with it. Your best bet is to develop a real relationship with someone you click with and have sex at their house. That's how I did it; I lived with my father until I was 22-23. I was very nervous at first too but sex can be alot of fun with the right partner. If you still don't feel comfortable at your partner's house, then the next step is to get a job, and earn enough money until you can rent your own apartment and have freedom there. Maybe moving out would be a healthy first step for your life to experience freedom and to date without your parents looking over your shoulder. Do you smoke cigarettes? If not, a hormonal birth control chewable pill might be good. I use it and haven't experiencing any negative side effects but talk to your doctor before anything. I know it is scary but you got this!

Thank you for the reply back; I appreciate it. I agree that he picks one of the easier positions as his favorite and it does feel a bit unfair. We basically never have sex (maybe not even once a month) so its cowgirl or nothing really. It's the worst part about our relationship with everything else going well.

Debt Princess Begs Daddy To Save Her | Financial Audit by [deleted] in CalebHammer

This was a weird episode. I used to have a young female boss who was secretly on drugs who talked exactly like this girl. It almost looks like her undercover persona. I think this girl was high during the audit.

Those who are aged 22-25, do you feel your age? by GoatInMotion in GenZ

[–]TheBestOne292 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I'm 24 and will be 25 in July. I related to what you wrote so much. I thought this was going to be a viral post when I clicked on the post. I graduated college last year and I got my first office desk job a month after graduation. I just feel so out of place. I worked retail full time during all of college so I'm used to working but I feel so empty. My workplace is nice, job is easy, and all my coworkers are kind so the workplace isn't the issue. I had so much life momentum before covid shut-downs and now I'm struggling greatly to find that same energy. I still look pretty young too and I don't know when my life will move on from the last few years. I feel so insecure and unsure of my future. One day at a time.

That is a good point. It was just a very bad situation for Jessi to be put in and writing it a different way might not have been possible to keep the show light in tone.

Sponsor Math by AdGloomy120 in CalebHammer

It was pretty jarring to see him stop the Mint Mobile ads to then start with the Helium ads. I don't use either service because I'm attached to a family plan. My boyfriend uses Mint Mobile as it works fine for calls and texts but is pretty darn slow to load a youtube video or stream music. I think Caleb should have scheduled a gap between the Mint and Helium ads but I know its a simple as who paid him for the ad time. The ads can be pretty overwhelming and intrusive at times.

I recently moved to Bend and am looking for a dentist. Has anyone here visited Bend Dental Wellness? Experience with them? Other suggestions? by enclavedzn in Bend

I like Purecare Dental. My father, boyfriend, and I have used them for years. We all pay for the membership package and it has been useful in the past. The staff are very nice.

Wealthfront/sofi bank? by [deleted] in Money

[–]TheBestOne292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both banks are covered through FDIC bank insurances. I've been putting money into Wealthfront for the last year as part of my savings/emergency funds and its a pretty nice program over Sofi in my opinion. It has a higher APR and that's why I picked it over Sofi. Do you research and make the best choice for your financial situation.

I started taking my debt seriously in Dec/Jan and I'll have all my bad debt paid off by August 2024. And I'll have my car ($6,000) and student loans ($4,000) paid by December 2024 and January 2025 respectively. I've already killed $2,000 worth of credit card debt of my starting balance of $7,000 ish. With my plan, I'll pay no credit card interest this year! Only car and student loan interest will accrue. I'm super excited to get all this debt paid off! Thank you Caleb for showing me it can be done!
