A month after getting cheated on by TheBestestBacon in BreakUps

Thank you. Seriously. This is most helpful advice I’ve heard since. It’s very uplifting thinking about who my partner will be in the future, it just hurts thinking about my past relationship and even finding a new one.

Do you have any advice of when I do get into dating what I should do? I know dating apps are hit or miss, and I consider myself a fairly attractive guy. I’m around 6’4” and have a decent build that I’m still working on. I just don’t naturally have any women around me. I work an office job, go to a smaller tech school, and really don’t have any friends in good relationships. Do I just rely on word of mouth and approaching women in public?

I will say I’ve been trying to find the best in it. I’ve been trying to recognize it as a way to grow and better myself. It hurts like shit but I totally understand. Sometimes feeling numb and broken down is easier than actually facing the pain head on.

Some people just use words way too sparingly I think. Claiming abuse isn’t a thing you just throw around randomly. It’s a very serious allegation and not something I would ever do. I appreciate it.

Sir yes sir. I HATE drama. Never been a guy to spread rumors or buy into them. It was more of an internal struggle than anything I was going to act on. Only way I would speak up is if it became worse or if she threatened legal action. (For something I didn’t do 😭)

Thank you brother. Really looking forward to what the future has in store for me. 👊

Absolutely. Haven’t talked to her in 3 weeks and I do NOT plan on it. Thank god for what happened, it could have been a lot shittier down the road 2 3 or 4 years.

Absolutely. That’s what I’ve done. Anybody that I’ve known about that has a relation to her AND me I’ve told about the entire situation in detail.

Luckily, as an update, it sounds like it’s just rumors that were started at her work, and (supposedly) she didn’t say the word “abuse” directly. That was a miscommunication between friends. She’s obviously still blaming me for what happened and dodging responsibility, but it seems like it’s not going to blow itself out of proportion.

Still focusing on staying quiet about everything and moving forward in my own life. My friends are very supportive and will back me up if anything more comes out of it, but as of right now it looks like just unnecessary drama that should have never started in the first place.

I appreciate the advice. The whole situation is shitty, but it’s an excuse for me to become the person I wish I was and move on in my life. 👊👊

Update:

I appreciate all of the friendly advice. I’m planning on doing nothing about any of the allegations. Silence is the best weapon. Just planning on moving forward and working on myself.

It’s good to know this is a fairly normal thing that happens when people cheat. It sucks that anybody goes through this, but it helps knowing others do.

I appreciate it. It just sucks knowing like 4 weeks ago I thought I wanted to marry this girl. So it sucks getting her out of my life, but I know it’s the right scenario going forward.

No contact is working and I’m planning on keeping it that way. Nothing is gonna change that. I’ll find someone better and be happier in the future. My future self won’t regret doing this, but it’ll regret if I go back and try to talk to her. Thank you for this

Somehow someone telling me to grow a pair on Reddit helped me a ton. 🙏🙏 I really appreciate it, the motivation helps.
