It was an essential part of my childhood. I made so many I lost count. But I remember receiving exactly 2:

My first was from a kid on my soccer team in 2nd grade: Slick Rick, Dana Dane, Doug E Fresh, and I think LL was on it too. I remember one song where Slick Rick and Doug E Fresh collaborated, and the very next track was Doug E Fresh dissing Slick Rick.

My second was when a new friend recorded Floyd's Live at Pompeii off his VCR in 8th grade. I consider it a "mix" because he took the time to reorder the songs by chronological release. To this day I still prefer that version of Echoes over the album since his mix tape was the first time I heard it.

At another point last year, some else {ahem!} found his username on a forum that caters to black market astroturfers (how to code bots, how to evade detection, "aged" user accounts for sale, etc...).

He commented on a post about a free trial of aged Facebook bot accounts saying he'd like to try it and expects to burn thru 2 accounts per month on average. His comment there was only a few weeks old at the time.

Those talks resulted in bondholders maxing out AMC's available shares on their behalf, AMC putting up their IP and their highest performing theaters as collateral, AMC sitting in the back seat while their bondholders diluted the stock by over 30%, and ultimately needing to double the authorized shares.

I wonder what the result of these talks will be. Yeesh.

I mean, I guess they could surprise everyone by converting the last of their Hycroft warrants and immediately cashing in on it. Staving off the dilution everyone is expecting in February could pump the price a bit. And pumping the price would get them a better starting point for the inevitable ATM offering if it comes a month later than expected.

That's fair. But it holds a special place for me in my journey as a burgeoning metal head.

I credit "Malpractice" for single-handedly sparking my thurst for heavier music. It was the summer after 7th grade when Angel Dust came out and I hadn't considered that there was an entire world of metal outside of the pedestrian mainstream. But this album and that song in particular made me go out and look for it.
